QUEENSLANDRACING INTEGRITY COMMISSION STEWARDS REPORT MOUNT ISA RACE CLUB MOUNT ISA -SATURDAY 24th FEBUARY 2024 WEATHER – FINE TRACK RATING – SAND RAIL – TRUE OFFICIALS Chairman of Stewards – P. WarrenStewards – D, GriffithsGeneral: Stewards permitted the following rider overweights. Race 3 – J. Baker +1kg Race 1:SUNSET BUTCHERY QTIS MAIDEN PLATE 900m LADY HURIBEL- Blundered on jumping and lost ground. ADASHAN – Jumped out awkwardly hampering runners drawn wider.Blundered at the 550 metres resulting in Apprentice B Moffat almost being dislodged. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormailities. BETHEHORSE – Jumped awkwardly.Cast an off fore plate at the 700 metres. Laid in over the final 200 metres. SHOALWATER BAY – Checked when tightened for room at the start. POSITIVE REWARD – Jumped in and contacted another runner at the start and lost ground. Race wide for the majority. GEORGY THE GREAT – Underwent a pre race veterinary examination and was passed fit to start. Ran wide making the home turn. Race2: CAVA HYDRAULICS BENCHMARK 45 Handicap 900m SPEEDY MACHO – Cast an offside hind plate in running. RUSTY ROSE – Bounded on jumping and lost ground. A warning was issued. ARCING HARD – Raced wide. ALL AT SEA – Raced wide. BOOM KING – Declared a late scratching on Veterinary advice at 2.10 p.m. On correct weight, the following deductions were imposed - 1st EXPLOSIVE GIRL - 6 cents Win and Place 7 cents.2nd BUBBLE BATH – 8 cents Place 3rd ALL AT SEA - 8 cents Place Trainer R Krogh was interviewed in relation to the presentation and condition of the gelding BOOM KING and as to whether he had complied with the terms of AR105 1(a). After taking evidence from Trainer R Krogh and Club Veterinary Surgeon Ms N McKinnon, the inquiry was adjourned to a time and date to be fixed. All further runners of Trainer R Krogh - Race 4 SNIPPY STRATEGIC, Race 5 COUNT MICHELIN and were both inspected by the Club Veterinary Surgeon and past fit to race. BUBBLE BATH – Raced wide. Race 3: COLONIAL SUPERMARKET RATINGS BAND 0 – 65 Handicap 900m GREENHEART – Began awkwardly-, raced wide majority. ROCKSTAR DREAMS – Raced wide the majority. Race 4: CINEMA ISA OPEN PLATE 1000m SNIPPY STRATEGIC – Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was passed fit to start. Raced wide for the majority. FAB’S COWBOY – Underwent a pre race veterinary examination and was passed fit to start.On straightening was eased across heels to obtain clear running. TYCOON ZIP – Bucked for a considerable distance after the start and tailed out, Trainer J. Baker was advised the gelding would be required to barrier trial before racing again. SPLASHER – Raced wide throughout. Race 5: KIDD & CO CONSTRUCTIONS BENCHMARK 50 Handicap 1100m COUNT MICHELIN – Underwent a pre race veterinary examination and was passed fit to start. Raced wide majority. SPURCIFIC JOURNEY – Raced wide in the middle stages and rounding home turn. DONENOTHING – Raced wide majority. WOLF POINT – Raced wide majority. ONTHETAKE – Stood flat footed as the start was effected and lost considerable ground.Trainer T Parry was advised that ONTHETAKE will be stood down from racing until a furtherbarrier certificate is obtained.
