SUPPLEMENTARY REPORT
 
 
GENERAL
 
1.    Rider Jason Barbarovich did not attend the meeting due to illness, with a medical clearance being required prior to Mr Barbarovich next riding.:
 
2.    Rider Michael McDonald advised upon arrival at the track that he was unable to make the required weight for ELECTRIC HASHMAL in Race 1 and EVIL WOMEN in Race 7. Mr McDonald pled guilty to a resultant breach of AR190(3) and after consideration of penalty was fined $200.00.

Race 1: CAVA GROUP MAIDEN PLATE  1200 M
 
ELECTRIC HASHMAL – rider replacement to M Gray. Began awkwardly and lost ground.
KLONDIKE STRIKE – blundered badly on jumping and shifted in severely unbalancing apprentice Chloe Lowe, and in consequence lost considerable ground. Also affected was MOGGIE which was hampered.
MOGGIE – hampered after jumping away.
LORD KENNY – hampered on jumping and lost ground; raced wide throughout.
SNUGGLE BANG YAHOO – raced wide throughout.
QUEENBEEL (NZ) – was fractious in the barriers prior to jumping. When the start was made began awkwardly and lost ground.
WAGONGA (NZ) – jumped awkwardly and shifted out bumping with LORD KENNY which lost ground.
 
Race 2: TREVOR MORRIS BUILDERS CLASS 6 PLATE  1200 M
 
THATFEELSBETTER – shifted out under pressure over the final 200 metres and brushed with ONCHAO near the 150 metres.
THECHAMP – proved difficult to load and delayed the start - warning placed on barrier manners; shifted in near the 600 metres and bumped with ONCHAO raced wide throughout; - tired from the 600 metres and finished well back. A post-race veterinary examination revealed lameness in the right-front knee. Trainer Mr Robert Burow was advised that a veterinary clearance w required prior to THECHAMP next racing.
FIRE UP BRUCE – proved difficult to load and delayed the start – warning placed on barrier manners; jumped in the air when the start was made and lost ground – Stewards delayed the all-clear to determine whether the gelding had been afforded a fair start – after questioning rider James Baker and reviewing vision the all-clear was authorised. Trainer James Baker advised that FIRE UP BRUCE would now be spelled.
ONCHAO – bumped near the 600 metres; brushed with THATFEELSBETTER near the 150 metres.

 
Race 3: RAPS SURF AND TURF BENCHMARK 65 HANDICAP  1450 M
 
METAL BAR – raced wide throughout.
CIAO BICKY – made the turn near the 900 metres awkwardly.
TEXAS STORM – raced wide throughout.
 
Race 4: RCT TECHNOLOGIES BENCHMARK 45 HANDICAP         1200 M
 
DEFINITELY FAMOUS – slow in the early stages; weakened from 500 metres finished well back; when questioned regarding the performance Apprentice Savannah McCann reported that after getting back in the early stages the mare had never travelled well at any stage – a post-race veterinary examination of DEFINITELY FAMOUS revealed no obvious abnormality.
RUSTY ROSE – began awkwardly and got back; raced wide throughout.
THE LAST CRUSADE –Trainer Mr Peter Inwood was reprimanded under of LR30(1)(b) after presenting THE LAST CRUSADE to the race day stall area outside of the required time: raced wide throughout.
VICTORY BEANS – got back from a wide draw then outpaced in the early stages, settling well back and finished on; when questioned regarding the run of the gelding jockey Cory Bayliss reported that VICTORY BEANS was outpaced in the early stages and in his opinion was looking for more ground at this stage of its preparation.
AREYA TUCHUZY – jumped out at the start and bumped with LOUIE THE LEGEND.
LET'S GO THEN - raced wide throughout.
LOUIE THE LEGEND – jumped in at the start and bumped with AREYA TUCHUZY; raced wide throughout.
WHITE RIBBON – was fractious enroute to the barriers – warning placed.
 
 
Race 5: COLONIAL SUPERMARKET BENCHMARK 45 HANDICAP      1450 M
 
BOARDIE – badly hampered on jumping.
DISPUTE – jumped in at the start simultaneously as ALL THAT BLING jumped out, this resulting in BOARDIE and MISHANI EAGLE being badly hampered. Consequently, MISHANI EAGLE contacted a heel and blundered losing further ground.
FAR REACHING – over-raced from the 1,250 metres to 1,000 metres.
ALL THAT BLING –jumped out at the start simultaneously as DISPUTE jumped in, this resulting in BOARDIE and MISHANI EAGLE being badly hampered.
JAKAZONE – Apprentice Chloe Lowe lost the use of her near side iron near the 250 metres and the off-side iron near the 200 metres with both irons not being recovered until after the finish of the race.
MISHANI EAGLE – badly hampered on jumping and contacted a heel, blundering and losing ground.
 
Race 6: CNW MAILMAN EXPRESS COMING SOON OPEN HANDICAP 1000 M
 
HAN DYNASTY – rider severely reprimanded for permitting HAN DYNASTY to shift ground inward near the 600 metres resulting in crowding to ZUMIKON,  THERESABEARINTHERE and EYEWITNESS. Laid in rounding the turn near the 450 metres crowding EYE WITNESS for a short distance. Apprentice Zac Sprie was reprimanded under AR131a and firmly reminded of his obligations when in similar circumstances.
THERESABEARINTHERE – Crowded near the 600 metres.
ZUMIKON - Crowded near the 600 metres.
EYEWITNESS – placed in restricted room passing the 600 metres . Upon weighing in Ms. McKenzie Apel, rider of the second placed EYEWITNESS, advised she wished lodged an objection against the first placed HAN DYNASTY alleging interference passing the 600 metres and again at the 450 metres. After consideration of all relevant submissions and from viewing the vision of the alleged incidents, the protest was dismissed.
 
Race 7: SUNSET BUTCHERS QTIS CLASS 3 PLATE  1000 M
 
DIAMOND HANDS – hampered at the start and lost ground.
WELLOUTOFREACH – raced wide throughout.
ALLANON – slow to jump away then hampered.
POWER SISTER – raced three-wide throughout.
RUBY SPARKLES – badly hampered on jumping and lost ground; continued to lose ground and was distanced at the finish. A post-race veterinary examination of the mare revealed no obvious abnormality. Trainer Ms Tanya Parry was advised that RUBY SPARKLES cannot compete at TAB meetings until it proves competitive.
PHILADELPHIA FREE – began awkwardly and shifted out bumping with LE WEASEL, then shifted in and made heavy contact with RUBY SPARKLES which lost ground; raced ungenerously for a distance passing the 600 metres.
EVIL WOMAN – jumped awkwardly and shifted in hampering DIAMOND HANDS.
LE WEASEL – bumped on jumping.
