GENERAL:
Stewards were advised that jockey M. McDonald had missed his flight and was unable to ride at today’s meeting.
 
Race 1: CNW JOSH LAILEY CLASSIC CLASS 6 PLATE – 1450 Metres
 
The start of the race was delayed due to a large stick which was seen on the home turn prior to the horses being loaded in the barriers which had to be removed.
 
ONCHAO – Bumped on jumping. Crowded for room near the 1300 metres and was steadied. Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
REAL EMPRESS – Shifted out at the start bumping ONCHAO. Bumped near the 1000 metres.
 
LE FORCE – Shifted in near the 1300 metres crowding ONCHAO. Shifted in near the 1000m bumping REAL EMPRESS. Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
FROZEN PRINCE – Raced keenly in the early stages.
 
VICTORY BAY (NZ) – Laid in under pressure over the concluding stages. Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
Race 2: CABLEMAKERS BENCHMARK 45 HANDICAP         1450 Metres
 
The start of this race was released approximately 10 seconds early due to miscommunication between the starter and the stewards. This was brought to the starter’s attention.
 
VICTORY BEANS – Slow to begin. Bumped shortly after the start.
 
MALABAR PRINCE – Shifted in on jumping bumping with VICTORY BEANS and was unbalanced. Raced wide for the majority of the race.

FAR REACHING – Slow to begin.
 
AREYA TUCHUZY – Slow to begin. Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
BITTERBLUE (NZ) – Slow to begin. Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
BENEVENTO – Raced wide for the majority of the race.

PRIOR THOUGHTS – Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
Race 3: CNW ELECTRICAL MAIDEN PLATE – 1100 Metres
 
ELECTRIC HASHMAL – Began awkwardly.
 
MOGGIE – Raced wide for the majority of the race.

LIGHT UP THE DAWN – Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
Race 4: TEAM CNW MOUNT ISA RATINGS BAND 0 - 60 HANDICAP –
1200 Metres
 
COUNT OF CARFORD – Slow to begin. Resented the early kickback and shifted wider. Raced wide for the majority.
 
FIFTY CARATS – Slow to begin.
 
BIONIC – Slow to begin.
 
DIAMOND HANDS – Slow to begin. Raced wide for the majority.
 
MISTER MODERATION – Began awkwardly making contact with its outside barrier gate, shifted out and bumped KARBORS.
 
KARBORS – Bumped on the hind quarters on jumping and was unbalanced.
 
RUSTY ROSE – Raced wide for the majority of the race.  
 
Race 5: CNW MAILMAN CUP OPEN HANDICAP – 1200 Metres
 
STAMPEDE WARRIOR – Blundered on jumping. Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
THE BROTHERHOOD – Bumped on jumping.
 
LAST DESCEND – Shifted out at the start bumping with THE BROTHERHOOD.
 
ZUMIKON – Blundered on two occasions soon after the start.
 
HAN DYNASTY – Blundered on its own accord near the 800 metres. Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
READY FOR MAGIC – Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
THE TYLER – Raced wide for the majority of the race.
