Ballard Stewards excepted the personal reasons for the late declaration of rider for ZAHA DREAM and HEZA CHUMLEY by trainer H. Forster. Race 1: PJ GARLAND BUILDERS/TOP X LONGREACH QTIS BM 65 - 1000 metres MAKE AMENDS – Jumped outwards heavily contacting an outside runner, then hung out for the majority of the race. STYLISH SON – Lay in down the home straight under pressure. JUST ONE WISH – Heavily contacted at the start losing ground and travelled wide to avoid the dusty track conditions. TEN GOAL POLO – Tended to hang out for much of the race. ITALIAN SON – Travelled wide for the majority. NEVADA MO – Reared at the start losing ground. Race 2: MAL WYTONTPT/COLEMAN STOCK FEEDS/JIM MARTELL MEMORIAL MAIDEN PLATE - 1000 metres SCENTS OF HENRY – Shifted out near the 800m tightening a runner to the outside. Jockey J. Lait was reminded of his obligation to keep his mount straight. TOUCAN – Shifted in nearing the 800m tightening runners to the inside. Jockey L. Dillon was given a reprimand and reminded of his obligation to keep his mount straight and to be sufficiently when shifting ground.MISS SCHIFFER – Jumped away awkwardly. WONZERO – Travelled wide for the majority. LEO’S EPRESS – Approaching the 800m clipped heels and was eased when runners either side shifted ground, then travelled wide to avoid the dusty track conditions. Race 3: G&D PARTNERS/TROPIC PETROLEUM CLASS B HANDICAP - 1200 metres COOL RAIN – Contacted at the start. DIFFERENT SHADE – Travelled wide for the majority. DO I HAVE TO – Travelled wide for much of the race and lay in over the concluding stages under pressure. BODICE – Jumped outwards contacting an outside runner. Race 4: MUTTABURRA VET/GEORGE BOURNE & ASSOC/JOHN AHERN SNR. MEMORIAL 0 - 55 HANDICAP - 1400 metres STYLISH LUCK – Over raced in the early stages. COME BY CHANCE – Jumped away awkwardly. HUSSON’S SHOUT – Slow into stride and travelled wide for much of the race. BAYSIDE BANDIT – Tightened approaching the finish line when outside runner shifted ground. DANTIEN – Bounded out at the start and travelled wide for the majority. ICE MELODY – Shifted in over the concluding stages tightening an inside runner. Jockey M. Hart was reminded of his obligation to keep his mount straight. Race 5: BRODIE AGENCIES/ELMES RURAL RB 0 - 55 HANDICAP - 1400 metres L. Dillon was the rider of ZAHA DREAM. BARBERANCE – Jumped away awkwardly and travelled wide for much of the race. KEEPCALMANDCARRYON – Slow to begin and blundered shortly after the start. NOTHING TO DANCE – Travelled wide for much of the race. RIDGES PRIDE – Travelled wide with cover for much of the race. Race 6: DAVID & BEBE SECCOMBE MEMORIAL MUTTABURRA CUP OPEN HANDICAP – 1400 metres C. Schumacher was the rider of HEZA CHUMLEY. HEROISM – Travelled wide for the majority. FOUR IRON – Struggled to muster early speed. HUNTER ISLAND – Travelled wide in the middle and closing stages of the race. VICTORIAN CROWN – Lost considerable ground when the gelding had his head on the wrong side of the barriers, as the start was effected.
