Race 1: DICKSON & GRAY MEMORIAL MAIDEN PLATE 3-Y-O & UP - 1000 metres
 
SLAYDEM – Slow to begin and travelled wide in the early stages.
 
SYNDRUM – Slow to begin. Shortly after the finish line the gelding staggered and was noted the gelding had bleed from both nostrils. The gelding was treated by the veterinarian surgeon on course and trainer R. Little advised the gelding had bled for the second time and would now be ineligible to race again.
 
WANZANILLA – Contacted at the start when an outside runner jumped inwards, then came together again before dropping out and travelling wide for much of the race.
 
SHE DEVIL – Resented the heavy kickback and was taken wider on the track to avoid most of it.
 
WRITER’S BLOCK – Jumped inwards contacting another runner and then bumped again before being straightened.
 
 
Race 2: LANGDON & MCAULIFFE / KEENAN MEMORIAL RATINGS BAND 0 – 50 HANDICAP - 1000 metres 
 
ARELLANO – Travelled wide for much of the race.
 
RHYTHM NATION – Travelled wide for much of the race with cover.

SIR CHARLESTON – Resented the heavy kickback and raced ungenerously because of it.
 
ANGRY DESERT – Jumped away awkwardly.
 
 
Race 3: AHERN & GW HASELER MEMORIAL BRACELET QTIS BM 65 HANDICAP - 1000 metres  
 
BARD OF ARMAGH – Fractious in the gates prior to jumping. Upon returning to scale jockey M. Haley requested to review the patrol footage and after doing so lodged a protest. Fourth place getter BARD OF ARMAGH against third place getter WICKED EXPRESS ridden by Jockey B. Richardson for alleged interference near the 550m. After taking evidence from both parties involved, reviewing the patrol footage and considering the margin beaten by, the protest was dismissed, and correct weight given.
 
ALFIARTO – When questioned regarding the poor performance of the gelding jockey J. King stated he didn’t handle the track and never travelled at any stage.
 
FULLY MAXED – Slow to begin.
 
WICKED EXPRESS – Slow to begin, ran around on the turn and lay in over the concluding stages under pressure.
 
J. Rudd was the rider of DRINKING COCKTAILS.
 
There was a slight delay to the start of race 4 as the track was watered.
 
 
Race 4: J ARNOLD & W BALLINGER MEMORIAL CLASS B HANDICAP - 1200 metres  
 
GREY FALCON – Travelled wide for much of the race and hung out rounding the home turn.
 
THUNDER – Fractious prior to jumping, bounded out of the gates losing considerable ground and travelled wide for much of the race.
 
 
Race 5: WEDGWOOD MEMORIAL CENTENARY CUP RATINGS BAND 0 - 60 HANDICAP - 1400 metres      
 
MISHANI CENTURION – Slow to begin.
 
SPRING ACTION – Slow to begin.
 
FRIGHTENING DELAGO – Travelled wide for much of the race.
 
Race 6: DT SECCOMBE MEMORIAL MUTTABURRA CUP OPEN HANDICAP – 1400 metres
 
J. King was the rider of BUSH CAVIAR.
 
M. Milford was the rider of AVOID THE MISSUS.
 
FRENCH HUSSLER – Resented the kickback and dusty conditions and raced ungenerously.
 
KAKAKENNY - Slow to begin and travelled wide for much of the race. Slightly hampered at the 50m when an outside runner shifted ground.
 
HUNTER ISLAND – Travelled wide for much of the race and shifted in over the concluding stages crowding an inside runner.
 
WICKED WOODY – Slow to muster speed and travelled wide in the early and middle stages.
