SUPPLEMENTARY REPORT
 
 
GENERAL
Overweight permitted as per the Stewards Race Day Summary.
The following runners were declared late scratchings at 8.31am due to no available riders;
Race 1 KING CONI, Race 2 SHORT TAKES, Race 4 SOLE HEIR & Race 5 BEYOND MARS.
 
 
Race 1: KELLCO RURAL AGENCIES / GEORGE BOURNE & ASSOCIATES BENCHMARK 60 Handicap 1000 metres
 
LONDON RULER – Raced wide throughout.
 
FROZE – Very slow to begin.
 
ONLY EMMA – Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination due to suffering an injury at its most recent start and was cleared to run. Laid in under pressure.
 
CYCLONE DIVA – Rider Tessa Townsend reported that the mare floundered in softer going for a short distance near the 700m.
 
ALGEROBA – Laid in under pressure.
 
 
 
Race 2: P.J. GARLAND BUILDERS / WYTON TRANSPORT QTIS Maiden Plate 1000 metres
 
The start was delayed initially when BOSTON BELLE bolted on the way to the barriers and after completing a lap of the track at speed was declared a late scratching by stewards at 1.33pm. The start was further delayed when LOONEY TUNES was unable to be loaded into the barriers and was declared a late scratching by stewards at 1.38pm. Due to both late scratchings all win bets were ordered to be paid less 77 cents and all place bets paid les 61 cents in the dollar on the face value of the ticket.

MATAGORDA – Hung out under pressure over the concluding stages.
 
BOSTON BELLE – Late scratching, bolted prior to the start. Stood down from racing until the completion of a satisfactory trial.
 
HEAVEN BLESS – Jumped awkwardly and was slow into stride. Trailed the field during the initial stages.
 
LUNEY TUNES – Late scratching, refused to load in the barriers. Stood down from racing until the completion of a satisfactory barrier trial.
 
 
 
Race 3: GREAT ARTESIAN VETERINARY SURGERY / TROPIC PETROLEUM Class B Handicap 1200 metres
 
WIKI – Fraction slow to begin. Raced wide throughout.
 
LOVE OVER GOLD – Slow to begin.
 
PRIZED ARTIST – Raced in restricted room briefly leaving the 600m.
 
MY FIXATION – Raced wide throughout.
 
HOT CHOCOLATE – Slow to begin.
 
 
 
Race 4: DAVID & BEBE SECCOMBE MEMORIAL MUTTABURRA CUP OPEN Handicap 1200 metres
 
AMERICAN GENIUS – Slow to begin.
 
CHAPELCO – Jockey Jason Missen reported that the gelding resented the kickback, so he therefore elected to race wide over the final 700m.
 
ZILITOR – Slow to begin.
 
DR DEMON – Hung out in the early part of the home straight. Jockey Emma Bell advised that close to the finish her mount improved up onto heels and therefore did not fully ride the gelding out to the finish. As the replays verified the comments of Ms Bell, no further action was required.
