Race 1: MAIDEN PLATE 800 Metres
 
DASHING POWER – raced wide for majority of the event.
 
DEMESNE – As had not raced for a significant period underwent a pre-race Vet examination and cleared to start. Jumped out at the start. Steadied off from heels near the 100 metres before shifting out to obtain clear running.
 
KEITH’S ENCORE – As had not raced for a significant period underwent a pre-race Vet examination and cleared to start. Delayed the start when proved difficult to load. Trainer B Robinson was advised a warning would be placed on the gelding’s barrier manners.
 
MISTER JUDGE – hung out rounding the home-turn.
 
BRAYD HEART – jumped in at the start hampering another runner.
 
COONOWRIN SILKY – sustained abrasions to the head when being transported to the track. A subsequent Vet Examination prior to the race cleared the mare fit to start. Raced wide throughout.
 
SHE’S FOR RANSOM – raced wide throughout.
 
ZELLERIO – hampered at the start between runners.
 
 
Race 2: RATINGS 0-60 HDCP 1000 Metres
 
DANGEROUS DANICA – bumped with another runner on jumping away.
 
LOMI – improved onto heels near the 300 metres, then shortly after obliged to shift wider on the track to obtain clear running.
 
COONOWRIN RUBY – made the home-turn awkwardly.
 
FONDUE – slow to begin.
 
LUCKY LARRIKIN – raced wide for majority of the event.
 
CHEVYS DESIRE – raced wide throughout.
 
 
Race 3: CLASS B HDCP 1200 Metres
 
CARTEGENA – raced wide throughout. Rider S Shield was reprimanded for use of the whip more than 5 times prior to the 100 metres.
 
NUSKEE PARKER – slow to begin
 
 
Race 4: OPEN PLATE 1200 Metres
 
Correct weight was delayed when S Andrew, representing B Andrew, trainer of 4th placegetter BAKER BOY viewed the replay in respect to an incident over the final 50 metres of the event. After viewing the replay correct weight was declared on the judge’s placings.
 
BAKER BOY – jumped out at the start and bumped another runner. Tightened and had to steadied approaching the finish line.
 
SNUGGLE POT – bumped on jumping away.
 
HOPETOUN STREET – App H English reported at scale the mare raced disappointing today and may not have appreciated the firm racing surface. A post-race Vet examination of the mare failed to reveal any abnormality.
 
CANNY EXCEL – held up for a short distance approaching the 300 metres.
 
CANID – Rider B Stower accidentally dropped her whip near the 150 metres.
 
GO GET SUM – Rider N Evans was reprimanded under AR137(a) for making insufficient effort to prevent his mount from shifting in and tighten BAKER BOY which had to be steadied to avoid heels approaching the finish line
 
 
Race 5: BENCHMARK 50 HDCP 1600 Metres
 
HAMMERACK – Rider S Shield was reprimanded for use of the whip in successive strides prior to the 100 metres. In assessing penalty Stewards acknowledged that S Shield has only recently returned to race riding after a significant break.  
 
ROCKY HALO – slow to begin.
 
THERE’S NEMO – raced wide in the early and middle stages of the event.
 
BOWIES BAYCONI – returned to scale with blood present in the mouth. A post-race Vet examination revealed the mare and sustained a cut to the tongue.
