MISS LITERATI – Was checked between runners shortly after the start and lost ground. COURTINGROCK – Tightened between runners shortly after jumping. Bumped with SHE’S SMART rounding the home turn. Laid in under pressure over the concluding stages. IMABARMAN – Began awkwardly and shifted out and was bumped on the hind quarters and became momentarily unbalanced. A post race veterinary examination of the gelding identified the presence of blood in both nostrils. IMABARMAN shall not without the permission of the Stewards : (a) be trained, exercised or galloped on any racecourse for a period of two months; (b) start in any race for a period of three months, and then only after a satisfactory gallop of at least 1,000 metres in the presence of a Steward. AR79(4) JULIETTE STREET – Began awkwardly and lost ground. Rider H Richardson reported that the mare slipped behind on jumping. A post race veterinary examination of JULIETTE STREET did not identify any abnormal findings. Race 2: ALAN DOWNIE MEMORIAL B’Mark 65 H’Cap 1000M HAVASHOUT – Near the 500m was restrained when improved onto heels. Laid out under pressure rounding the home turn. CURRY CONNECTION – Blundered on jumping ALLENA – Raced wide throughout MAGIC PANTHA – Began awkwardly Race 3: TIMBERTOWNER’S CAR DETAILING QTIS MAIDEN PLATE 1200M The start was delayed when BLUE BOY MCCOMBE became fractious en route to the barriers dislodging its rider. Rider N Morton was examined by the QAS and was unable to fulfil her riding engagement. As a result BLUE BOY MCCOMBE was subsequently declared a late scratching at 2:48pm. All monies invested on gelding were ordered to be refunded. Deductions applicable to bets placed on winner and placegetters prior to 2:48pm: 14 cents in the dollar on the face value of win bets19 cents in the dollar on the face value of place bets N Morton was advised that she must obtain a medical clearance before resuming riding. A post race veterinary examination of BLUE BOY MCCOMBE identified the presence of blood in one nostril due to a small laceration it received whilst fractious. In the opinion of the Veterinary Surgeon such bleeding was attributable to external trauma. The start was further delayed when THE DEVASTATOR refused to load and as a result the mare was declared a late scratching by way of the Stewards at 2:56pm. All monies invested on mare were ordered to be refunded. Deductions applicable to bets placed on winner and placegetters prior to 2:56pm: 4 cents in the dollar on the face value of win bets 6 cents in the dollar on the face value of place bets Trainer R King was notified that THE DEVASTATOR will be required to obtain a further barrier certificate prior to the horse racing again. HEAVEN BLESS – Raced wide throughout VERY SOON – Steadied near the 500m when racing in restricted room. Rider R Faehr was reminded of his obligations when allowing his mounts to shift ground. Rider G Goomany reported that the mare raced greenly in the straight. GRANMA – Began awkwardly and shifted out making contact with CRAIGLEA DANIEL. CRAIGLEA DANIEL – Bumped shortly after the start. MARCHEKY BOY – Inconvenienced shortly after the start. Raced wide throughout. Rider R Faehr reported that after being hampered shortly after the start the gelding worked hard early and in his opinion did not appreciate today’s firm track conditions. MA DUSHKA - Inconvenienced shortly after the start. Raced wide throughout. MADAME GRACE - Inconvenienced shortly after the start. Raced wide throughout. Race 4: NANANGO BOOKMAKERS ASSOCIATION B’Mark 50 H’Cap 1200M BRUTUS – Rider P Hamblin reported that the gelding hung out throughout. VERMUTIN – Slow to begin. Was held up for clear running from the 400m until a point near the 200m WILD ELEMENT – Hung out throughout. SOLID ASSET – Raced wide throughout. CARLTON STAR – Raced wide throughout. MISS CRUISEY – Bumped on jumping Race 5: HERITAGE BANK NANANGO B’Mark 55 H’Cap 1600M UNRESOLVED – Hung out rounding the home turn. CASH BUNDLE – Rider H Phillips reported that the gelding raced keenly in the early stages. LITTLE DRUMMER BOY – Began awkwardly. Laid in under pressure in the home straight. GAMBIT – Slow to begin. Raced wide throughout.
