C WeidemannVeterinarian – Dr L SchmeirStarter – K Dennien GENERAL Race 1: BENCHMARK 65 Handicap 800 metres ARRARAC – Raced three wide without cover throughout. SWEET VENOM – Jumped in at the start. MAHA MUSTANG – Began awkwardly. Raced three wide with cover. POSITIVE SPIN – Bumped sat the start. SINE CURVE – Slow to begin. Raced four wide without cover throughout. Race 2: CLASS B Handicap1000 metres OAKFIELD COMMANCHE – Jumped out at the start. LITTLE ALBERT – Fractious leaving the enclosure. Checked on jumping between OAKFIELD COMMANCHE, which jumped out and STRYKING PRINCESS, which jumped in. OUR BOY BORRIS – Slow to begin. STRYKING PRINCESS – Jumped in at the start. Laid in under pressure in the early stages of the home straight. MR FUJI – Began awkwardly. Race 3: MAIDEN Plate 1200 metres The track was downgraded to a Good 4 at 3:00pm retrospective to Race 3. Correct weight was delayed when C Taylor, rider of SENSE OF EXPENSE, viewed the start of the race to determine if his horse was afforded a fair start. After viewing the head-on patrol footage Stewards found that whilst a barrier attendant was attempting to assist C Taylor, SENSE OF EXPENSE was marginally slow to begin of its own accord. KRAKAN COVE – Fractious after being loaded into the barriers.Slow to begin. LUCKY SENATOR – Slow to begin. STORMZONE – Inconvenienced and hampered near the 150 metres between RUSSIAN MISSLE and GRANMA which shifted out under pressure. H Richardson, rider of RUSSIAN MISSILE was reprimanded under AR131(a). TINA SPAKLE – Slow to begin. Race 4: BENCHMARK 60 Handicap 1200 metres LAYLA’S LAD – Bumped heavily on jumping and lost ground. Leaving the 200 metres disappointed for a run to the inside of HAVASHOUT which after shifting out, shifted back in. K Gates, rider of HAVASHOUT, was advised to exercise greater care in similar circumstances. Raced in restricted room to the inside of HAVASHOUT over final 100 meters and went to the line without being fully tested. AND OVER AGAIN – Slow to begin. TURBO TEDDY – Jumped in at the start. Race 5: BENCHMARK 55 Handicap 1600 metres COACH – Slow to begin.
