From Chinchilla 28th May 2022 – Race 2 Benchmark 65 Hdcp. As N Fazackerley was to be overweight, Stewards permitted B Newport to ride LOVESON. N Fazackerley was subsequently fined $300 under AR 190(3). 
 
General
 
As app O Webb was ill, Stewards permitted rider changes as per the Race Day Summary Sheet.  App Webb was advised she would require a medical certificate prior to her next race ride.
 
Race 1 - Maiden Plate 800 METRES
 
Start of this event was delayed approximately 20 minutes when the ambulance was late to arrive on course. The start was further delayed when JUST SO FANCY broke through the barriers and galloped back to the enclosure before being vetted and declared a late scratching.
 
HAIRY LOVER – Hung in during the early stages.
 
PAR UN NEZ – Raced wide for the majority of the event.
 
TUANAKI CREEK – Rider H Phillips reported that her mount failed to handle the rain effected the conditions.
 
COURTINGROCK – Hung in during the early stages.
 
FINEST ACT – Bumped on the hindquarters shortly after the start. Raced wide for the majority of the event.
 
JUST SO FANCY – Declared a late scratching at 12:23pm after breaking through the barriers and galloping back to the enclosure. On the declaration of correct weight stewards ordered all monies invested on JUST SO FANCY to be refunded and deductions of 39c in the dollar on win bets and 23c in the dollar on place bets invested prior to 12:23pm.
 
RIVA’S ANGEL – Slow to begin.
 
RISING SPIRIT – Tightened for room and lost ground at the start.
 
 
Race 2 - BENCHMARK 55 Handicap 800 METRES
 
The start of this event was delayed when I AM FEARLESS broke through the barriers and galloped back to the enclosure. The start was further delayed when OAKFIELD COMANCHE had to be resaddled on arrival behind the barriers.
 
REMEMBER MARY – Correct weight was delayed to allow Stewards to view the start of the race.  After hearing submissions from Starter K Dennien and E MacPherson, rider of REMEMBER MARY, Stewards declared REMEMBER MARY a non-runner after being denied a fair start due to the horse anticipating the start, forcing its barrier to open early and missing the start significantly as a result. On the declaration of correct weight stewards ordered that all monies invested on REMEMBER MARY be refunded and deductions of 29c in the dollar on win bets and 20c in the dollar on place bets on all monies invested prior to the start but after 12:55pm.
 
I AM FEARLESS – Declared a late scratching at 12:55pm after breaking through the barriers and galloping back to the enclosure. On the declaration of correct weight stewards ordered that all monies invested on I AM FEARLESS to be refunded and deductions of 55c in the dollar on win bets and 39c in the dollar on place bets on all monies invested prior to 12:55pm.
 
CALCULATED RISK – Raced wide for the majority of the event.
 
THE WAITING MAN – Raced wide for the majority of the event.
 
DEE JAY CEE – Began awkwardly.
 
DYNAMIC JEWEL – Laid out when rounding the home turn.
 
DANCING TALES – Lost significant ground shortly after the start and raced three-wide for the remainder of the event.
 
 
Race 3 - QTIS Class 3 Plate 1000 METRES
 
COAT OF ARMS – Raced wide for the majority of the event. Bumped on the hindquarters passing the 400m. Shifted in under pressure in the home straight.
 
UNCLE FRANK – Shifted out near the 400m and bumped with COAT OF ARMS.
 
AIN’T SHE LOVELY – Raced wide for the majority of the event.
 
EXCEPTIONAL BELLE – Raced wide for the majority of the event.
 
RIPPN’ READY – Began awkwardly and raced wide for the majority of the event.
 
PRINCE OF DIAMONDS – Made heavy contact with UNCLE FRANK on jumping. Raced wide when rounding the home turn.
 
 
Race 4 - BENCHMARK 45 Handicap 1200 METRES
 
JENO – Slow to begin. Raced wide for the majority of the event.
 
VIZONE – Tightened for room at the start and lost ground. Rider reported that her mount resented the kick back from other runners when racing at the rear of the field.
 
HOLY CHARIOT – Underwent a veterinary examination prior to racing after having raced the previous day at Chinchilla and was cleared to start. Trainer A Park reported post-race that the horse may not have backup well after having the raced the previous day.
 
OURLASTPENNY – Shifted in abruptly on jumping away.
 
MOVING DAY – Tightened for room at the start.
 
COFFEE COMING – Raced wide for the majority of the event.
 
PERSIAN FRONT – Tightened for room on jumping.
 
JUSTAWAY – Laid out when rounding the home turn.
 
 
Race 5 - BENCHMARK 45 Handicap 1200 METRES
 
SUFFICE – Knuckled on jumping and rider reported that her horse did not travel comfortably and weakened in the straight.
 
BADGE OF GAMENESS – Raced wide for the majority of the event.
 
BUNGARRIBEE LAD – Tightened for room at the start. Made the home turn awkwardly and laid out under pressure in the home straight.
 
GOLDEN SYMPHONY – Tightened for room at the start. Raced wide for the majority of the event. Rider S Stephan reported she lost use off the near side stirrup iron shortly after the start before regaining use a short distance later.
 
TOP MELODY – Reared over at the start and dislodged its rider before being examined by the veterinary surgeon and cleared to take its place in the field. Slow to begin. Rider reported that her mount failed to handle the soft track conditions.
 
GALVARINO – Raced wide for the majority of the event.
 
RURAL REBEL – Began awkwardly and shifted out.
 
MY GIRL SPIRIT - Underwent a veterinary examination prior to racing after having raced the previous day at Chinchilla and was cleared to start.
 
 
Race 6 - BENCHMARK 60 Handicap 1200 METRES
 
AND OVER AGAIN – Began awkwardly and lost ground.
 
KENTFORD – Raced wide for the majority of the event.
 
TAPTHETILL – Slow to begin.
 
TYCOON DANCER – Raced wide for the majority of the event.
 
MONT MONT – Rider T Wheeler reported that his mount did not travel comfortably at any stage and in his opinion did not handle the soft racing surface.
 
WE ALL AGREE – Rider N Fazakerley momentarily lost the use of the offside rein over the concluding stages.
 
SERTIN – Raced wide for the majority of the event. Laid in under pressure near the 100m and caused the rider to stop riding and straighten.
 
RAKU’S SECRET – Rider H Phillips reported the horse became unbalanced near the 600m and did not travel from that point onwards.
 
 
Race 7 - OPEN Handicap 1200 METRES
 
MORENO – Raced wide for the majority of the event. Steadied when tightened for room near the 250m.
 
BOINGO – Rider M Cox reported that her mount did not handle the soft track conditions.
 
KAPPY CINO – Slow to begin. Checked after improving onto heels near the 300m.
 
PHIONAIX – Rider I Rabjones reported that her mount failed to handle the soft racing surface.
 
SWEET VENOM – Unable to be fully tested over the concluding stage when inclined to lay in.
 
 
Race 8 - BENCHMARK 60 Handicap 1600 METRES
 
GOTTA BE FIRST – Rider P Hamblyn reported that his mount failed to handle the soft racing surface.
 
SALAZAR – Slow to begin.
 
GRATSIE – Raced wide for the majority of the event.
 
TRUST IN ALOHA – Obtained a run to the inside of CRAIGLEA CLINKERS near the 600 metres when that runner hung out.  Rider E McPherson reported that her right foot struck the barriers on jumping causing her some discomfort throughout the event.
 
OCTOBER JOY – Raced wide for the majority of the event.
 
CRAIGLEA CLINKERS – Hung out for the majority of the event. Rider reported that her mount failed to handle the soft racing surface.
