QUEENSLANDRACING INTEGRITY COMMISSION STEWARDS REPORT NANANGO RACE CLUB SATURDAY 3rd DECEMBER 2022 WEATHER – Fine TRACK RATING – Soft 6, Soft 5@12pm RAIL – True OFFICIALS Chairman of Stewards – K DalyStewards – C FedrickClerk of Scales – B WebbJudge – P ChiltonVeterinarian – Dr K WebbStarter – K Dennien Race 1 - BAND 0 - 50 Handicap (1000 METRES) PRINCE OF DIAMONDS – Raced three wide without cover for the majority of the event. INTIMIDATING – Began awkwardly and lost ground. RED GADGET – Laid out rounding the home turn. ULTRA INSTINCT – Crowded for room at the start and lost ground when JOUNDY ROCKET jumped in abruptly. Raced three wide without cover for the majority of the event. DANCING TALES – Held up rounding the home turn. KARTANUP – Shifted in abruptly shortly after the start. Hung in for the majority of the event. trainer B Phillips was advised a warning would be placed on the horse’s racing manners. Lost the off fore plate in running. JONDY ROCKET – Jumped in abruptly at the start. Race 2 - OPEN Handicap (1000 METRES) ASK AUDREY – Jumped in at the start and hampered NO BETTER AFFAIRE. Raced wide throughout. TA CHANSON – Passing the 100m shifted out under pressure and bumped DIGGITY. DIGGITY – Bumped passing the 100m. NO BETTER AFFAIRE – Hampered at the start. Laid out near the 400m resulting in DIGGITY improving to its inside. Raced wide throughout. Race 3 - Maiden Plate (1200 METRES) LICENCE TO ROCK – Bumped at the start. MAX’S SOURCE – Jumped out at the start and bumped LICENCE TO ROCK. Momentarily steadied near the 900m when placed in restricted room. Made the home turn awkwardly and lost ground. TOFF – Slow to begin. Steadied from the heels of EAGLE VISION near the 900m when momentarily placed in restricted room. A Spinks, rider of EAGLE VISION, was advised to exercise more care in similar circumstances. TRUST IN A GALE – Raced wide for the majority of the event. PRINCESS POLLYANNA – Slow to begin. Raced wide for the majority of the event. Race 4 - BAND 0 - 60 Handicap (1200 METRES) JAMESATELLI – Began awkwardly and lost ground. ASTROPHYSICS – Jumped in at the start. THE MONEY SPENDER – Slow to begin. Race 5 - BENCHMARK 55 Handicap (1600 METRES) HAIRY LOVER – Rider N Vuille reported the horse failed to respond when placed under pressure from the 400m and did not finish the race off as strongly as expected. Trainer P Sexton advised it would now be his intention to immediately spell HAIRY LOVER. MISTA BUSY – Raced wide for the majority of the event. Weakened noticeably from the 600m and finished some distance from the main body of the field. A post-race veterinary examination revealed lameness in the off foreleg. Trainer L Wanless was advised MISTA BUSY would require a veterinary clearance prior to its next race start. DAULAT ULTI MAIORA – Raced wide for the majority of the event. CRAIGLEA AGENA – Shifted out in the home straight when placed under pressure. EVRYNOW’N’THEN – Slow to begin. THE ANGELS KISS – Jumped out at the start and bumped QUARTER PAST. QUARTER PAST – Bumped at the start. MR INTREPID – Raced wide for the majority of the event.
