Stewards opened an inquiry into the reason for Mondayitis rider D.Baker being dislodged after the winning post. It was established that approaching the 800m Mondayitis commenced to race ungenerously, at which point the saddle slipped placing the Gelding at a considerable disadvantage for the rest of the event. After passing the winning post the saddle continued to slip to a point at which the rider suffered a harmless fall. Ambulance officers examined D. Baker and cleared him for the rest of the meeting. Stewards noted the circumstances for D.Baker’s fall.
