Race 1: SWEETER SOILS/BEC FEED/CAMILLERI EARTHMOVING/MACKEY
WALES/STOCKLICK TRADING THE BASALT MAIDEN PLATE – 1000 Metres
 
WINNING IN PARIS– As apprentice G. Semmens failed to arrive on course due to transportation difficulties, she was replaced by senior rider S. Sheargold when no other apprentice rider was available. Slow to begin.
 
WISHNOWSKY – Raced three wide without cover for the majority of the race. Laid in over the concluding stages crowding APACHE MINTO.  
 
OLDTIMEROCK’N’ROLL – Restrained off heels near the 900 metres.
 
APACHE MINTO – Crowded for room over the concluding stages. Rider L. Morrison requested to view the patrol footage prior to correct weight being declared, however due to technical difficulties the relevant footage was not available and as such she declined to proceed and correct weight was declared on the judge’s semaphored numbers.    
 
Race 2: OLSSON’S/GF RURAL FNQ/UNDARA EXPERIENCE/ZOETIS/NIMMO PLATE CLASS 3 PLATE – 1000 Metres
 
PERFECT QUALITY – Refused to load and was declareda late scratching at 1.31pm.All monies invested on PERFECT QUALITY were ordered to be refunded with the following deductions to be applicable on all bets made prior to 1.31pm. 23 cents in the dollar on the face value of all win bets and 18 cents in the dollar on the face value of all place bets. Trainer G. Hughes was advised he must obtain a further barrier certificate prior to it being permitted to race again.
 
RAMBLIN’ MAN – Tightened for room and lost ground near the 700 metres by INVINCIBLE JET which became very awkwardly positioned inside the heels of RACATOON when the pace slackened and it laid in away from that runner causing RAMBLIN’ MAN to lose ground. After evaluating all circumstances surrounding this incident jockey L. Morrison was reprimanded in that a rider of her experience should have been able to make a greater effort to prevent this incident.  
 
INVINCIBLE JET – Shifted in when awkwardly place between runners near the 700 metres tightening RAMBLIN’ MAN.

WHISPERING TYCOON – Wide in the early and middle stages.
 
STRATHCONA – As apprentice G. Semmens failed to arrive on course due to transportation difficulties, she was replaced by apprentice J. Doolan.  
 
OUR ADDICTION – Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
Race 3: MURPHY MEMORIAL VICE PRESIDENTS' PLATE BENCHMARK 45 HANDICAP – 1200 Metres
 
DUBAI EAGLE – After failing to arrive on course was declared a late scratching at 1.55pm by order of stewards. All monies invested on DUBAI EAGLE were ordered to be refunded with deductions on all winning bets made prior to 1.55pm to be applicable. 6 cents in the dollars on the face value of all win bets and 7 cents in the dollar on the face value of all place bets. Stewards will inquire into circumstances.
 
ZAPLUCK – Slow to begin.
 
BIT OF FUN – Slow to begin.
 
IT’S A PLOY – Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
WINDPIPE – Rider S. Sheargold reported to stewards that the gelding never felt comfortable on todays’ surface.
 
Race 4 TUFF N UP CAMP LADIES BRACELET OPEN HANDICAP – 1200 Metres
 
LORD OF LIGHT – Jockey F. Edwards reported on returning to scale that the gelding resented the kick back in the middle stages and raced ungenerously.Correct weight was delayed to allow connections to view the photo finish for 3rd placing. After viewing the photo connections were satisfied and correct weight was declared.
 
Race 5: COLLINS FAMILY/TOPX LONGREACH FULFORD PLATE QTIS BENCHMARK 50 HANDICAP – 1400 Metres
 
ANSELMO – Slow to begin.
 
MEDAL – Slow to begin. Raced wide in the early and middle stages.

WHY WOULDN’T YOU – Jockey R. Shred advised on returning to scale the gelding raced ungenerously and over-raced in the early and middle stages. Raced wide for
the majority of the race.
