Race 1: Benchmark 55 Handicap 800 metres:
1st  COLEY   2nd  CHECKOUT ME TRAVLA   3rd   SABA LASS  4th  DUNNY’S STAR
 
SABA LASS – Barrier gate was marginally slow to open, however mare stood flat-footed losing considerable ground.
 
LOG CABIN - Raced wide rounding 600 metre turn and hung in down the straight. 
 
DUNNY’S STAR - Hung in under pressure over concluding stages. 
 
FLAMINGO ROSE - Raced in restricted room over final stages. 
 
Race 2: Tropic QTIS Maiden Plate 1000 metres:
1st  MANSALE   2nd   DORA’S MAGIC   3rd  PURE FETISH    4th   ONYA MISS
 
MANSALE - Was marginally slow to begin. 
 
ONYA MISS - Raced wide for the majority. Near the 400 metres shifted wider on the track inconveniencing another runner which was racing to the outside. App.N Nelson was advised to exercise more care in similar circumstances.
 
EXPLOSIVE LAD - Raced wide for the majority. Was inconvenienced near the 400 metres when another runner shifted out.   
 
 
Race 3: Landmark Class B Handicap 1000 metres: 
1st  MOLONGLE HERO    2nd  CHAT TIME   3rd   IZZY’S KEEPER (NZ)  4th  MOON PHASE
 
MOLONGLE HERO - Raced wide for the majority. 
 
AKHEILOS – Jockey Ms. K Aho advised gelding resented the kick back throughout.  
 
MOON PHASE - raced wide rounding the home turn. 
 
ALLUDER – When questioned in relation to the performance of the gelding which raced below market expectations Jockey K Ballard advised the gelding had been unable to finish off as expected after being when unable to obtain an uncontested lead. Jockey Ballard also advised the gelding was very fresh today, having not raced for 5 weeks, and was fractious in the barriers. The gelding made the 400 metre turn awkwardly and commenced to lose ground from that point.  Jockey Ballard believes the gelding will benefit from today’s race. 
 
Prior to the declaration of correct weight the trainer of RAINING DOLLARS Ms J Hassett advised she wished to view the photo finish print regarding the fourth placing by the Judges of that gelding. After viewing the print Ms. Hassett was satisfied with the placings and correct weight was declared. 
 
 
Race 4: Barrs Tyres Memorial Benchmark 65 Handicap 1200 metres:
1st  MOLONGLE CHIEF   2nd  GESTICULATION   3rd   ROCKETTE ROCKET   4th   CIDARIS
 
STRADA HILL – Was withdrawn by order of Stewards as no suitable rider was available. 
 
BY EMTEEARE – Jockey Ms. K Aho advised that the gelding resented the kick back and as a result raced ungenerously throughout. Taken wide on the home turn to obtain clear running. 
 
FAB FOUR - Raced wide rounding 600 metre turn. 
 
CIDARIS - Raced wide rounding the home turn.  
 
RACE 5: - Coleman Stockfeed Pentland Cup Class 4 Handicap 1600 Metres:
1st  DON’T TELL PETE   2nd  ULTRA RED   3rd   BETTER CALL SAUL   4th  CALL ME RINGO 
 
BEEGEES – Was withdrawn by order of Stewards as no rider was available.
 
WANTABETHEONE – Jockey Ms. B Thomson reported that the gelding which was slowly away had slipped on jumping.
 
BETTER CALL SAUL - Raced wide rounding  the 600 metre turn.
 
FAST TRACK MAGIC - Raced wide rounding the 600 metre turn.
 
SILVER BOWS – Jockey Ms. K Aho reported the mare did not appreciate the kickback and raced ungenerously throughout. 
 
TOP BUTTON - Raced wide rounding the home turn.
