GENERAL
 
As Jockey C. Spry was indisposed, he was replaced as per the Steward’s summary.
 
 
Race 1: W. TITLEY & CO BENCHMARK 55 HANDICAP 800m
 
GREAT I AM – Began awkwardly and shifted in on jumping away.
 
EXPLOSIVE GIRL – Over raced during the early stages of the event.
 
HEROIC KITTY – Slow to begin.
 
HERO’S CHOICE – Began awkwardly.
 
Race 2:CHARTERS TOWERS FUNERALS AND MONUMENTAL QTIS MAIDEN PLATE 1000m
 
 
LINGY – Awkward to begin and shifted out contacting DACXI BUBBLES.
 
REVVED UP READY – When questioned regarding the performance of REVVED UP READY, jockey J Hoopert stated that in his opinion the gelding jumped well, however was inclined to hang out and shifted about under riding in the straight. Stewards noted the explanation. Hung out making the home turn and the proceeded to race ungenerously.
 
Approaching the 250m shifted in abruptly after being struck with the whip. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.
 
PRECISE FLAME – On jumping away was taken wider by MADONNACANTSING and then proceeded to race wide for the majority.
 
DACXI BUBBLES – Contacted on jumping away and shifted out onto MADDONACAN’TSING resulting in that horse being hampered. Hung out over the middle stages of the event and raced ungenerously.
 
MADONNACAN’TSING – Hampered on jumping away when DACXI BUBBLES shifted out.
 
BETHEHORSE – Slow into stride and then mustered early speed to obtain a forward position. Trainer T. Parry was advised that a warning had been placed on the filly regarding its pre-race manners.
 
Race 3:JETT INDUSTRIAL SUPPLIES CLASS B HANDICAP 1000m
 
PRESSURE AND TIME – Jockey D. Smith reported at scale that his mount hung out throughout. Slow into stride.
 
CIVITAS – Began awkwardly. Raced wide for the majority.
 
WHITTY’SDREAM – Shifted in on jumping away.
 
MISS BOSSY – Began awkwardly and as a result was slow into stride.
 
BRAVE MISSILE – Over raced during the middle stages of the event.
 
 
Race 4:HONEYCOMBES MEMORIAL BENCHMARK 65 HANDICAP 1200m
 
LOUIE THE LEGEND – Trainer T. Parry was reprimanded pursuant to LR 67(1) for failing to declare a rider within the prescribed time. Laid in under pressure in the straight.
 
NIGHT GUY – Reared as the start was affected and lost ground. Raced wide for throughout. Trainer D. Reynolds was fined $100 pursuant AR106(1) for presenting NIGHT GUY into the enclosure yard with incorrect gear.
 
MOON OVER ALICE – Contacted the outside rail enroute to the barriers and dislodged Apprentice T. Townsend. Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was passed fit to start. Trainer T. Parry was advised that a warning had been placed on the mare in relation to its pre-race manners.  
 
BABY GUINESS – Approaching the 100m, became awkwardly placed on the heels of LOUIE THE LEGEND, who was laying in and was obliged to momentarily steady and shift to the outside.
 
 
 
 
 
Race 5:HARCOO BENCHMARK 45 HANDICAP 1200m
 
The start of this event was delayed owing to runners becoming fractious in the barriers.
 
BOOM RANGA – Over the concluding stages, bumped with RUSTY ROSE, who was laying in, on a number of occasions.
 
BETTER NOT FUSS – Began awkwardly and shifted out on jumping away.
 
RUGGED ROY – Declared a late scratching at 9:30am due to transport difficulties.
 
DON’TSTOPLAUGHING-
 
ZAKHEERA – Stood flat footed. Trainer D. Reynolds was advised that the mare would now be required to barrier trial to stewards satisfaction prior to resuming.
 
SINGLE MALT –
 
RUSTY ROSE – Raced wide without cover for the majority. Laid in under pressure in the straight, bumping with BOOM RANGA on a number of occasions.
 
Race 6:HAMMER & CO PENTLAND CUP CLASS 4 HANDICAP 1600m
 
VANDANGLE – Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination after the trainer’s representative reported the gelding was displaying unusual behavioural on arrival on course and was passed fit to race.
 
BELLEOFTHEHUNTER – Stood flat footed and lost considerable ground. Trainer S. Royes was advised that the mare would now be required to barrier trial to stewards satisfaction prior to resuming.
 
SEEFELD – Awkward to begin and as a result was slow into stride and lost ground. Raced wide throughout.
 
ORCUS – Began awkwardly.
 
BETCHA BABY – Laid out under pressure.
 
SIZZLESUN – Raced wide for the majority. Laid in over the concluding stages.
