Slowly into stride. Raced wide throughout. SALTWATER SLEDGE. – Shifted out abruptly on jumping. Raced wide throughout. HAMMERFEST – Slowly into stride. Was eased out of the race near the 600 metres and took no further competitive part. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed an injury to the near foreleg. Trainer Ms. T Parry was advised a veterinary clearance would be required prior to next race start. SPEECHMAKER – Raced very wide rounding home turn. Race 2 - AMMONITE INN BENCHMARK 60 HANDICAP 1000m WORLD OF PAIN – Reluctant to load. Raced wide rounding the home turn. ACE LIGHTNING (NZ) – Jumped outwards bumping with another runner. HEREBANEEK - Bumped by another runner on jumping. SAFDIE – Slowly into stride. Raced wide rounding the home turn. FINE FERGUS - Slowly into stride. MANDALONG PASS – Raced wide rounding the home turn. Race 3 - FEDERAL PALACE BENCHMARK 50 HANDICAP 1200m OAKFIELD SUNSET – Slowly into stride. Raced wide for the majority. RED CHARMER - Slowly into stride. Raced wide rounding the home turn. LADY VIDIA - Slowly into stride. Raced wide for the majority. CRYSTAL BEAR – Disappointed when attempting a marginal run on straightening. Race 4 - RICHMOND NEWSAGENCY OPEN PLATE 1200m ENGINE FIFTY FIVE – Slowly away. ROTHSTEIN - Raced wide rounding the home turn. ALBERT THE ROCKET - Raced wide throughout. DIURNAL TIGER - Raced wide rounding the home turn. BEAUDRAGON – Reluctant to load. On returning to scale Jockey R McMahon requested to view the patrol footage near the 700m to ascertain whether or not he had grounds to lodge an objection against 1st placegetter YOUR WAY OR MINE (T Brummell). After viewing the footage Jockey McMahon elected not to proceed and Correct Weight was declared on the semaphored numbers. When questioned in relation to the performance of the gelding which raced below market expectations, Jockey McMahon stated that apart from being tightened for racing room near the 700m, the gelding had enjoyed a good passage in transit but had not finished off the race as expected. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be mildly lame in the off foreleg. Trainer J Morris was advised a Veterinary clearance would be required prior to next race start. Race 5 - MUD HUT BENCHMARK 60 HANDICAP 1400m DUAL PERSONALITY - Rider T.Tincknell was reprimanded under the provisions of AR 140A(3) for failing to present the correct saddle cloth. Was fractious in the barrier prior to the start. Slowly into stride after beginning awkwardly. Raced wide rounding the home turn. GOING GREY – Raced wide rounding the home turn.
