Race 1: RICHMOND LIVESTOCK TRANSPORT MAIDEN PLATE (1000 METRES)       
 
CLAIRVUE SAGA - Slow to being.
 
DOUBLE OBOE – Rider advised gelding did not appreciate the kickback in running. 
 
BE PRESENT – Near the 800m shifted inwards tightening runners to the inside.  Jockey J. Hoopert was advised to exercise more care in future. 
 
TOTAL DISDAIN (NZ) - Near the 800m placed in restricted room when BE PRESENT shifted inwards.
 
HIDDEN STORM – Raced in restricted room near the 800m when runners to the outside shifted in.
 
DEVIL’S DREAM – Jockey J. Esser was fined the sum of $100 under the provisions of AR190(3) for accepting a ride when unable to make the weight. As no other rider was available Stewards allowed Jockey Esser to ride the gelding 1.5kg over the allotted weight.  Hung out throughout the event and finished tailed off.  Trainer S Royes was advised the gelding must successfully complete a barrier trial before starting again.  A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any irregularities.
 
 
 
Race 2: LIBERTY RURAL RATING BAND 0 – 65 HANDICAP (1000 METRES)
 
EMBATTLED – Slow into stride. 
 
FLOSSY TOP – Shifted inwards on jumping and raced wide in the early stages. 
 
HOLOGRAM – Shifted outwards on jumping bumping with another runner.
 
WORLD OF PAIN – Bumped by another runner which shifted out on jumping. Raced wide rounding the home turn. 
 
ENCORADO – Raced wide rounding the home turn. 
 
 
 
Race 3: RICHMOND FREIGHT AND PLANT HIRE OPEN HANDICAP (1200 METRES) 
 
MADDIE’S THE BOSS –Fractious in mounting yard.  Trainer T Parry was advised a warning would be placed on the mares behavior.  Slowly away loosing significant ground. Finished tailed off. A post-race veterinary examination revealed swelling to right hind leg.  Trainer T Parry was advised the mare must successfully complete a barrier trial and a veterinary certificate of fitness be provided prior to the mare again being permitted to start in a race.
 
MASKING – Slow to begin. 
 
 
 
Race 4: WHARTON & CO BENCHMARK 55 HANDICAP (1200 METRES)
 
PHOENIX SHADOW – Raced wide for the majority. 
 
CLATEAU – Raced wide early. 
 
ISA PRINCESS – Raced wide early.
 
Near the 300m STATIC LIFT (D. Ballard), when attempting a run to the outside of TELLING STORIES (N. Nelson), was tightened for racing room which resulted in BACCHUR (K. Ballard) being buffeted between runners and losing ground.  Stewards were satisfied that no individual rider was culpable and attributed the interference to a racing incident, nonetheless, all riders involved were advised to exercise greater care in similar circumstances.
 
 
 
Race 5: GOLDEN RUN RURAL BENCHMARK 50 HANDICAP (1400 METRES)   
 
NITRO CITY – Fractious in barriers prior to the start.
 
MASTER AGAR – Raced very wide in early stages.
 
CAPTAIN’S PICK – Raced wide rounding the home turn. 
 
FANTASY MIDNIGHT – Raced wide rounding the home turn.
 
KING LANGDON (NZ) – A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any irregularities.
 
UNDER RESTRAINT – A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any irregularities
