GENERAL
Trainers S Royes  and T Parry were each fined the sum of $ 100 under the provisions of LR36 (6) in that they failed to scratch a dual acceptor by the prescribed time.
Race 1: MONTY O’SULLIVAN 43RD BT AIF MEMORIAL BENCHMARK 45 Handicap 1000m
SILENTUS - Raced wide for the majority.
ARROGANT HEART – Began awkwardly.
CLARION – Raced wide early and middle stages.
Race 2: WJ & VM HARRINGTON & DAUGHTER ANNIE CORAL SEA MEMORIAL Class 3 Plate 1000m
MANOORA PRINCESS –  Was declared a late scratching at 2:20pm after becoming fractious in barriers, breaking through front gates galloping riderless for 1000m. All monies invested on the mare were ordered to be refunded in full. Deductions applicable to bets placed on winner and placegetters prior  to 2:20pm were as follows:
5 cents in the dollar for the win
7 cents in the dollar for the place
Trainer S Royes was advised the mare would be required to obtain 2 consecutive barrier certificates prior to again being permitted to start in a race.
ARCING HARD – Broke through front gates. Was restrained after traveling a short distance. Underwent a veterinary examination and passed fit to start. Raced wide majority.
WALLACH - Raced wide early and middle stages.
DREAM THE DAY AWAY – Began awkwardly ,shifted out making heavy contact with runner to its outside.
ARFA CROWN – Severely hampered when bumped by another runner which shifted out on jumping.
Race 3: HUGHES EARTHMOVING OPEN Handicap 1200m
BEST GUESS - Slow to begin
AMERICAN GENIUS – Bumped with another runner on jumping
TRY ‘ N ‘ RUN A MUCK – Bumped with another runner on jumping. Raced wide throughout
BUON NATALE – Inclined to lay in, despite the efforts of its rider, in the early stages, inconveniencing a runner to its inside.
SNIPPY STRATEGIC – Approaching the 1000m had to be checked when a runner to its outside was inclined to lay in. Raced wide in the middle stages.
MASKING – Raced rounding the home turn.
Race 4: LT COL HARRY MURRAY VICTORIA CROSS MEMORIAL Class B Handicap 1200m
WOTS WONG – Stewards permitted jockey D Ballard to ride the gelding 1kg overweight when no other suitable rider was available. Bumped with another runner on jumping.
NEW YORK POET – Stewards permitted jockey R McMahon to ride the gelding 4kg overweight when no other rider was available .Was bumped by another runner on jumping.
DEVIL’s NUMBER – Began awkwardly. Raced wide majority.
DUNTROON MAN – Raced wide majority.
HAN DYNASTY – Began awkwardly and bumped another runner.
BRAHMINY – Bumped by another runner on jumping .Raced wide majority.
Race 5: RI MCCLYMONT MEMORIAL BENCHMARK 50 Handicap 1400m
RED RED ROSE – Fractious in the barriers, broke through the front gates on two occasions. Underwent a veterinary examination and passed fit to start.
NITRO CITY – Reared as the start was effected and lost ground.
WRITTEN TREATY – Raced wide majority.
SOVIET – Raced wide majority.
KEIRETSU – Raced wide majority.
