GENERAL.
Trainer Ms T. Parry was fined the sum of $100 under the provisions of LR36 (6) (b) in that she failed to scratch a dual acceptor by the prescribed time.
 
Race 1: MACKENZIE EARTHMOVING Class 4 Handicap (1000m)
I’M CALLING DIBS - Bumped by another runner which shifted in at the start and was slow into stride.
LATIN DAYZ - Began awkwardly, shifted in bumping another runner. Raced wide for the   majority.
SANCY ROSE- Raced wide early stages.
GUMNUTS- Raced wide for the majority.
 
Race 2: FEDERAL PALACE HOTEL Class 1Handicap (1000m)
JUMPING POWER - Shifted out under pressure near 100 metres.
DREAM HALO - Raced wide for the majority.
CELTIC PRINCESS - Near the 100 metres appeared to clip the heels of another runner and blundered, falling and dislodging its rider. Rider J. Hoopert was stood down from his remaining engagements by QAS officers and was advised that he will require a medical clearance and undergo a cognitive assessment prior to resuming race riding.
LIZ DELIGHT- Raced wide rounding home turn.
Stewards inquired into an incident which occurred near the 100 metres whereby CELTIC PRINCESS blundered, fell and dislodged its rider. After taking evidence from the riders involved and viewing the patrol footage it was determined that near the 100 metres JUMPING POWER (D. Smith) shifted out under riding when insufficiently clear of CELTIC PRINCESS causing that runner to be checked, clip heels and fall dislodging its rider. Jockey D. Smith was subsequently found guilty of a charge of careless riding under the provisions of AR131(a) with his license to ride in races suspended for a period of 1 calendar month to commence 11th October 2022 and expire 11th November 2022. Jockey D Smith was advised of his right to an internal review.
 
Race 3: SUN-UP SUN-DOWN RURAL CONTRACTING Maiden Plate (1200m)
BOSSUKA - Stewards permitted rider D Ballard to ride the gelding 2kg overweight as no other rider was available. Was inclined to lay out in the middle stages and rounding home turn.
SHADOW SNOW - Raced wide for the majority.
THE KELLY GANG - Raced wide for the majority.
 
Race 4: AMMONITE INN MOTEL Class B Handicap (1200m)
METEORANO - Slow to begin.
ART THIEF - Stewards permitted rider D. Ballard to ride the gelding 1/2 kg overweight as no other rider was available.
AGOSTINI - Raced wide for the majority.
BLAX - Raced wide for the majority.
RIVERSIDE BLUES - Raced wide for the majority.
 
Race 5: MUD HUT MOTEL QTIS BENCHMARK 60 Handicap (1400m)
KEEP ON LOVING YOU - Raced wide rounding home turn.
PLATINUM DEAL - Raced wide for the majority.
SCENIC SIGHT - Raced wide for the majority.
