Race 1: CHARTERS TOWERS TOYOTA Maiden Plate (1000m)
ORCUS – Stewards permitted rider D. Ballard to ride the gelding 2kg overweight as no other rider was available. Was reluctant to take a run between runners in the early stages of the straight.
GIVE IT THE BEANS – Slow to begin.
COLONEL VON TRAPP – Raced wide rounding home turn.
NANNA BAX – Began awkwardly, jockey D Sparks reported the mare was inclined to hang out during the race, after finishing tailed off a post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities. Trainer Ms S. Royes was advised a warning would be placed on the mare’s racing manners.
OLDTIMEROCK’N’ROLL – Raced wide majority.
 
Race 2: COLEMAN STOCK FEEDS BENCHMARK 60 Handicap (1000m)
THE BROTHERHOOD – Began awkwardly bumping another runner. raced wide early stages.
WE’LL BEAT IT – Bumped on jumping. Raced wide majority.
SIZZLING SONATA – Raced wide majority.
 
Race 3: RISING SUN HONDA Class 6 Plate (1200m)
ZUMIKON – Jockey T. Hill could offer no explanation for the poor performance as the gelding tired over the concluding stages, a post -race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Trainer Ms T. Parry was advised to notified Stewards should anything which may have had a bearing on today’s performance become apparent in coming days.
LATIN DAYZ – Raced wide majority.
DUNNERS – After performing below market expectation. a post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities. Trainer R. Burows was advised to notified Stewards should anything which may have had a bearing on today’s performance become apparent in coming days. Raced wide rounding home turn.
 
Race 4: HASTINGS DEERING QTIS Class 1 Handicap (1200m)
TABOO – Began awkwardly shifting out hampering SIZZLING RIVER.
SIZZLING RIVER – Severely hampered on jumping when VALIANT KNIGHT began awkwardly shifting in and bumping that runner, and TABOO shifted out abruptly on jumping.
VALIANT KNIGHT – Began awkwardly shifting in abruptly hampering SIZZLING RIVER. Raced wide majority.
ROYAL TONIC – Began awkwardly. raced wide majority.
VEE EIGHT POWER – Raced wide majority.
 
Race 5: BROWN & HURLEY BENCHMARK 65 Handicap (1400m)
LOUIE THE LEGEND – Following a request from trainer Ms T. Parry steward permitted rider D. Ballard to ride the gelding 1/2kg overweight as no other rider was available. Laid out middle stages and down the home straight. Raced in restricted room momentarily over the concluding stages due to ALL AT SEA shifting out under riding. And DANAWI shifting in under pressure.
ALL AT SEA – Shifted out over the concluding stages momentarily tightening LOUIE THE LEGEND, Jockey K. Ballard was advised to exercise more care in similar circumstances.
FLYING EUROS – Raced wide majority.
DANAWI – Raced wide majority. Shifted in over the concluding stages momentarily tightening LOUIE THE LEGEND. Jockey T Hill was advised to exercise more care in similar circumstances.
 
Race 6: SOUTHERN GULF NRM Class B Handicap (1400m)
 
WHISTLE – Slow to begin. race wide rounding home turn
BEYONDTASTIC – Raced wide majority.
ALPHA BLUE – Raced wide middle stages and round home turn.
