Stewards accepted the following overweights.
Race 4:D.Ballard +2kg
 
Race 1: MCKENZIE EARTHMOVING BENCHMARK 65 Handicap (1000m)
MOON OVER ALICE – As the start was affected attempted to lift near side back leg up and was slow to begin, resented the kickback in the early stages, then raced wide majority.
TORQUE SENSATION – Raced wide middle stages and rounding the home turn.
GOLD TRICKLE – Trainer K. Russell explanation was noted; however, he was reprimanded under LR67(1) in that he failed to declare a rider by the advertised time, and LR36(6) failed to scratch a dual acceptor. As the Mare had not started in an extended period ,underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was cleared to start, Raced wide majority.
MAKUBA – Began awkwardly, raced wide majority.
 
 
Race 2: AMMONITE INN Class B Handicap (1000m)
BETCHA BABY – Raced wide middle stages and rounding the home turn. Jockey D Sparks was fined $300 under the provisions of AR132(7)(a)(ii) for his use of the whip 7 times prior to the 100m 3rd offence.
MAGIC SUCCESSION – Raced wide majority.
ARE WE GOOD – Hung in throughout the race. Raced wide majority.
SECRET QUALITY – Raced wide majority.
 
Race 3 : FEDERAL PALACE HOTEL BENCHMARK 55 Handicap (1200m)
GOLDEN EIGHTY – Raced wide rounding the home turn.
CAERUS – Bumped with another runner on jumping.
FAR REACHING – Was bumped on jumping.
ONTHETAKE – Slow into stride, raced wide majority.
 
 
Race 4: KUHL & CO Maiden Plate (1200m)
SUMMER SIZZLING – Soon after the start jockey Ms D. Graham saddle shifted putting the rider at a disadvantage through the race.
STILLWATER – Tightened on jumping.
DON’TSTOPLAUGHING – Was momentarily tightened on jumping.
PINK HOUSE – Shifted in on jumping tightening runners to its inside.
MILLENNIUM FALCON – Raced ungenerously in the early stages due to the kickback, attempted to buck in the middle stages. Trainer K. Krogh was advised the mare must trail to the satisfaction of Stewards prior to its next race start.
 
Race 5 : SUN UP SUN DOWN QTIS BENCHMARK 65 Handicap (1400m)
GREAT BOULDER – Slow into stride, raced wide majority.
ZOOMARATTA – Race wide majority.
