GEORGY THE GREAT – Raced wide through the middle stages and rounding the home turn.
 
TONATIUH – Raced wide throughout. On returning to scales, rider R .Wilson reported the gelding felt awkward in its action. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
 
PLUCK N’ TANGO – Was declared a late scratching at 2.50pm after being fractious in the saddling enclosure dislodging rider R. Payne who was cleared of any injuries by QAS staff. Stewards ordered that all bets on PLUCK N’ TANGO be refunded with the following deductions  to apply: 
1st – 16c Win 18c Place
2nd – 18c Place
3rd – 18c Place
 
Trainer S.Seymour was advised that the gelding would be required to parade and proceed to the start in a trial/jump out under race day condition prior to next racing.
 
 
Race 4: LT COL HARRY MURRAY VICTORIA CROSS Open Plate 1200M
 
CIAO BICKY – Slow to begin. Resented kickback in the early stages.
 
TRINITY MISSILE – Underwent a pre- race veterinary examination and was passed fit to start.
 
READY FOR MAGIC – Raced wide through the middle stages and rounding the home turn.
 
STRIKE POINT – Raced wide for the majority.
 
PRIMAL SCREAM – Raced wide for the majority.

THE LANDING – Shifted out on straightening and bumped ANOTHER JACK.
