GENERAL
RACING:
RACE 1 CLASS 5 HCP..1600 METRES - (5 STARTERS).No racing incidents to report.
RACE 2 CLASS 6 HCP.1000. METRES - (6 STARTERS) ANGELSTONE GIRL blundered at the start and as a result shifted in and made contact with FLYING DEAL.
Approaching the 900 metres BLUE MARLOO had to be steadied off the heels of VIDEO SHOT.
Inside the 800 metres MOJO RISING shifted in and struck the running rail. Trainer S. Simpkins through her stable representative Mr. B. Dixon, was fined the sum of $50 for presenting BLUE MARLOO to race with worn hind plates.
RACE 3 CLASS 4 HCP.1000. METRES - (9 STARTERS) RADICAL MISS blundered at the start.
LADY’S TOUCH jumped in as the gates opened and crowded GIBRALTAR REIGNS onto MIGHTY SPLENDENT.
Approaching the 700 metres RADICAL MISS had to be momentarily steadied off the heels of MIGHTY SPLENDENT which shifted in.
Inside the 500 metres RADICAL MISS shifted in and made heavy contact with the running rail.
RACE 4 CLASS 1 HCP 1100 METRES - (14 STARTERS) BRISTOL was fractious in the barriers prior to the start.
AL SHARLEE jumped away awkwardly.
SPRITELY STYLE reared as the gates opened.
HULA HAVEN was slow to begin.
Approaching the 450 metres ALIAS shifted in and made heavy contact with the rail and as a result shifted out abruptly forcing WITH CAUSE wider on the track.
MAGIC LANCER hung out rounding the home turn.
RACE 5 CLASS 3 HCP.1200 METRES - (14 STARTERS) IN THE GUN jumped away awkwardly.
HOST was slow to begin.
Approaching the 1000 metres BARN DANCE which was racing fiercely had to be steadied off the heels of PLUSH LOVER. As a result BARN DANCE shifted in resulting in MAHKOTA BERSATU and GRAND DALE being severely crowded onto MONEY. As a result of this interference YALLAH MOON had to be steadied off the heels of MAHKOTA BERSATU. CRYSTAL’S BOY which was following shifted out to avoid the heels of YALLAH MOON and as a result hampered ROWLEY.
Approaching the 450 metres MAHKOTA BERSATU was momentarily tightened for room between CRYSTAL’S BOY and BARN DANCE, both of which shifted ground slightly.
Trainer P. Camilleri was fined the sum of $25 for presenting PIMPALA MAGIC to the enclosure without blinkers.
RACE 6 OPEN HCP 1200 METRES - (10 STARTERS) RUSSCAY jumped in at the start and tightened WIDGEE GO in onto STARGARD.
Approaching the 300 metres GUY had to be momentarily steadied off the heels of WIDGEE GO, which shifted out under pressure.
RACE 7 MAIDEN PLATE HCP 1300 METRES – (9 STARTERS): BULLRING BABE jumped away awkwardly.
POWER HOME SAM was inclined to lay in under pressure in the home straight.
RACE 8 OPEN HCP. 1600 METRES – (7 STARTERS) VOLCANIC SPARKLE reared as the gates opened and lost ground as a result.
Inside the 400 metres VOLCANIC SPARKLE was disappointed for clear running until approaching the 200 metres.
BOOKMAKERS: 2 bookmakers fielded at the race meeting.
SWABBING: All winners were sent to be swabbed and the samples collected were forwarded to the Racing Science Centre for routine analysis.
