Race 1: INTERNATIONAL CHEF RESTAURANT F&M CLASS 2 H'CAP – 1200M
 
LUCKY CLOVER – A. Butler was questioned regarding his tactics and the horse’s performance. He stated that he had been instructed, and intended to, lead, however, when the outside runners went forward quickly, he was mindful of having to place his mount under too much pressure in the early stages and he restrained and allowed MIA HOST to cross to the lead. Near the 900m, his mount threw its head in the air when being restrained. He further stated that from the 900m the mare balanced up well, however he was of the opinion that the horse had failed to run out a strong 1200m.
 
KEEN DESIRE – Raced wide without cover throughout.
 
LUCIFER’S ANGEL – Held up leaving the 400m until near the 200m.
 
ANGELS CROWN – Began awkwardly when being assisted by a barrier attendant.
 
Race 2: BATTLERS CUP BENCHMARK 65 H'CAP – 2200M
 
Stewards accepted the explanation tendered by trainer O. Cairns for the late arrival on course of KHADIJA and PRINCESS TORIO.
 
VEGAS FLYER – Shifted ground under pressure near the 200m.
 
PORTSEA – M. Hellyer reported that his mount was inclined to lay out in the middle stages.
 
PRINCESS TORIO – Bounded in the air at the start.
 

Race 3: BETTER ON BEEF CLASS 3 PLATE – 1050M
 
KOOROC – Raced three wide with cover.
 
ARQUATAS – Raced wide without cover.
 
THAT PRETTY GIRL – Began awkwardly.
 
Race 4: PADDOCK TO PLATE QTIS 2YO H'CAP – 1200M
 
PARADIS IMPERIAL – Bumped at the start.
 
JAY JAY – Hampered at the start and taken out on to another runner. Overraced at the rear of the field when the pace steadied near the 900m.
 
MISHANI WRANGLER – Bumped at the start and then bumped another runner.
 
JUSTALAD – Bumpered at the start. Overraced at the rear of the field when the pace steadied near the 900m.
 
TIME FOR LIFE – Bumped at the start and taken out on to another runner. Had difficulty obtaining clear running from the 400m to the 250m when PARADIS IMPERIAL improved to the outside and MISHANI WRANGLER laid out slightly.
 
LIL RUBY ROSE – Jumped out at the start and made contact with JUSTALAD, which hampered JAY JAY, which was taken out on to MISHANI WRANGLER, which made contact with TIME FOR LIFE, which was taken out on to PARADIS IMPERIAL.
 
Race 5: SEE IT, TASTE IT, LOVE IT MAIDEN PLATE – 1300M
 
I LOVE KANDE – Laid in for the majority of the straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
 
NIGHTS ABLAZE – Raced three wide without cover until near the 900m
 
Race 6: VEUVE CLICQUOT ENCLOSURE CLASS 1 H'CAP – 1400M
 
SUNRISE GLORY – Began awkwardly.
 
O’BRIEN – Raced wide for the majority of the event and hung out near the 600m.
 
WICKED INVESTMENT – Slow into stride. When questioned regarding the horse’s performance, apprentice Z. White stated that she was able to race in a good position, however in the straight the gelding failed to respond to her riding at any stage and failed to run on. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Stewards will follow up with trainer T. Button regarding the horse’s post-race recovery.
 

Race 7: BEEF AUSTRALIA 2018/2017 TATTERSALLS OPEN H'CAP – 1200M
 
CASINO THOUGHTS – Slow to begin and inconvenienced when HEARTBREAK HARRY jumped out.
 
HEARTBREAK HARRY – Jumped out at the start.
 
EL CAPO – Slow to begin.
 
GYPSY SECRET – Raced wide without cover.
 
HELLAROO – Slow to begin.
 
PERFECT KNOWLEDGE – Raced wide with cover.
 
PICK OF THE PUBS – Began awkwardly. Raced wide without cover.
 
Race 8: RACING TOMORROW AT CALLAGHAN PARK C,G&E CLASS 2 H'CAP – 1200M
 
EMPEROR MAXIMILIAN – Raced wide with cover.
 
TAMMANY HALL – Bumped with EREBOR shortly after the start, taking that runner out on to FAST TRICK, resulting in CRAIGLEA PISTOL having to be eased from the heels of HEZA CHAKA.
 
CAPTAIN TREASURE – Laid in slightly near the 800m.
 
CRAIGLEA PISTOL – Had to be eased from heels shortly after the start.
 
MISTA BUSY – Slow to begin. Placed in restricted room near the 800m and had to be eased.
 
EREBOR – Bumped by another runner shortly after the start, taken out on to another runner. Raced wide without cover. Apprentice A. Fancourt reported she suggested to connections that in order to allow the horse to settle better, the blinkers be removed.
 
MUSIC SCENE – Raced wide without cover.
 
FAST TRICK – Bumped at the start.
