As B. Grylls was indisposed due to illness and W D’Avila due to personal reasons, riding changes were made as per the Stewards Summary Sheet.
 
Race 1: DLV Finance Class 3 Plate- 1823 metres
 
TEST MY FRIENDSHIP – Jockey D. Hayse was the replacement rider. Stewards permitted Jockey Hayse to ride 1 kilogram overweight to no other riders at or close to the allotted weight of 52.5kg. Slow into stride.
 
MUNIJIZ – Raced keen in the early stages.
 
DIAMOND RACER – Inclined to lay out under pressure from the 200m.
 
FIRST STIMULUS – Raced 3 wide until near the 900m.
 
Race 2: Inferno Sports Maiden Handicap- 1050 metres
 
STATE OF TEXAS – Was fractious and reared in the barriers prior to the start. Began awkwardly and shifted out and made contact with the barrier partition. Laid in and away from LIKE ‘EM SASSY near the 700m, causing BELSHAZZAR to be steadied.
 
REFINED EXCITEMENT – Jumped inwards at the start.
 
ROUGISSANTE – Began awkwardly.
 
BELSHAZZAR – Slow to begin.  Steadied near the 700m.
 
LIKE ‘EM SASSY – Rolled in slightly near the 700m.
 
MISS RICH – Raced wide without cover throughout.
 
HOT PROSPECT – Jockey C.Jokic reported her mount lay in for the majority of the straight.
 
Race 3: Chameleon Group QTIS 2YO Maiden Handicap (1)- 1100 metres
 
STAR PICKET –C. Jokic was substituted as the rider.  Leaving the 700m had to be eased from the heels of FIELDS AVENUE.
 
HIDDEN MIRA - A warning would be placed on the horse regarding its manners when loaded in the barriers. Bumped with DUAN PHOENIX shortly after the start. Raced wide without cover.
 
STYLE LINE – Slow to begin.
 
RED RUNNER – Raced 3 wide without cover.
 
DUAN PHOENIX - Bumped with HIDDEN MIRA shortly after the start.
 
NAUGHTY BUT NICE – Eased from the heels of STAR PICKET leaving the 700m.
 
Race 4: Grant and Simpson QTIS 2YO Maiden Handicap (2)- 1100 metres
 
SAGRE’S POINT – Trainer P. Fleming was fined $100 for failing to declare a rider for the horse by the declared time. Slow to begin.
 
EXCELCAT – Proved difficult to load and rider reported that it raced greenly throughout.
 
ANA’S IDOL – Slow to begin.
 
KILLER LOVE – Jumped out abruptly at the start.
 
DOOGUS – Shortly after the start was restrained and retired from the race. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the horse sustained an injury to its off hind leg and was lame. A veterinary certificate must be provided for the horse prior to its next race start.
 
HOURGLASS – Jockey M. Hellyer dropped his whip near the 400m.
 
TIMPERLEY – Shifted in under pressure over the final 100m.
 
Race 5:  Free Venue Hire QTIS 3YO Maiden Handicap - 1200 metres   
 
DOPPLER – Bumped at the start.
 
CELESTIAL SON – Bumped at the start. Taken outwards near the 900m and eased.
 
GAI OF THE GALAXY – Began awkwardly and lost ground.
 
CRAIGLEA DETROIT -  Hung out momentarily near the 900m, resulting in CELESTIAL SON being taken out  and having to be eased.
 
SWEET NOTE – Held up for a short distance leaving  the 400m when CELESTIAL SON rolled in. 
 
SCUTARI – Raced wide with cover.
 
TAUGHT BY THE BEST – Raced wide without cover.
 
POPIGAI – Raced wide without cover.  A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormalities.
 
Race 6: XXXX Gold BM70 Handicap - 1300 metres   
 
MONO LAD – Jumped awkwardly  and took awkward strides shortly after the start.  Jockey Hellyer  reported he lost the use of his off-side  iron, and regain it shortly after. Over raced from the 1100m until near the 900m.
 
ATARARTZI – Hung out from the 250m, placing Jockey Coome in some difficulty riding his mount out.
 
Race 7: Hahn 3.5 BM55 Handicap- 1400 metres  
 
RUBY RAY - Jumped in onto ROETHLISBERGER at the start. Raced wide without cover.
 
BELLA UNO - Tightened between ROETHLISBERGER and CHIEF ADVOCATE  on jumping away.
 
SUNRISE GLORY – When questioned regarding the performance of the horse, jockey M. Hellyer stated that it raced flat and may now be spelled. A post race veterinary examination revealed a slow recovery.
 
ELITE THE MODEL – Jockey D Simmons was fined $300 in that he failed to ride his mount out to the end of the race. Stewards were of the opinion his actions had cost him third placing however took into account his exemplary record over a significant period of race riding.
 
Race 8:  Summer Bright Class 1 Handicap- 1100 metres  
 
BEST HURRAH – Declared a late scratching at 9.40am due to no available riders at or close to the allotted weight.
 
SIR HURRAH – Declared a late scratching at 9.40am due to no available riders at or close to the allotted weight.
 
FRANKLY COLD – Stood flatfooted at the start and lost ground.
 
ZOE IS THE BEST – Slow to begin.
 
MISS DORA - Raced wide without cover.
