Race 3 – As App. M Murphy was mistakenly declared for CRAIGLEA CETINA, stewards permitted Jockey N Thomas to replace him on the mare.
 
Race 4 – Due to a misunderstanding J Stanley was declared as the rider of THE BAKER. Stewards permitted the change of rider from Jockey J Stanley to Jockey L Tilley on The Baker.

Race 1: RJC – Celebrating 150 Years of Racing BenchMark 65 Handicap 1800m
 
Correct weight was delayed to allow apprentice H. Phillips, rider of the 2nd placegetter, Murphy’s Hustler, to view the photo-finish image. After doing so, she was satisfied with the Judge’s numbers and correct weight was declared.
 
PLAIN ‘N’ SIMPLE – Overraced in the early stages. Rider N. Thomas was reprimanded for his use of the whip prior to the 100m.  In determining penalty, stewards took into account his good record regarding breaches of this rule.
 
ALOOF’S TURF – After obtaining a position outside the leader in the early stages when the pace slackened passing the 1400m, was allowed to stride forward to obtain the lead leaving the 1200m.
 
EXTRA COVER – Jockey D. Evans pleaded guilty to a charge  under AR137A(5)(i)(ii) in that he used his whip 13 times prior to the 100m, 2 of which were consecutive.  Jockey Evans was fined $200.  In determining penalty stewards were mindful of his good record regarding breaches of this rule, and that this was his first TAB ride back from a lengthy suspension
 
 
Race 2: Central Park Motel QTIS Three-Years-Old  Handicap 1200m
 
WICKED GRIMSHAW – As Jockey R Wiggins was to be overweight he replaced Jockey N Day. Jockey R Wiggins was fined $100.
 
CRAIGLEA ELLA – Reared as the start was effected and made contact with the face of its rider, C. Jokic, then lost significant ground. Jockey Jokic was subsequently examined by ambulance personnel and cleared to fulfil her remaining engagements. 
 
SERIOUS CRIME – Laid in under pressure over the final 150m.
 
THE TAX ACCOUNTANT – Raced greenly in the home straight.
 
 
Race 3: Bill Reid Racing Class 2 Handicap 1400m
 
KULABA – Examined by the veterinary surgeon behind the barriers and cleared to start.
 
ALL EEZ -  Was fractious in the gates prior to the start being effected, and then was slow to begin.
 
SCUTARI – Was slightly inconvenienced passing the 100m when racing in restricted room.
 
STATIC LIFT – Held up slightly for a run from the 350m to the 200m, then altered course to the outside to obtain clear running.
 
AUSSIE TYCOON – Laid in over the final 200m.
 
GUISSOLA – Raced 3 wide with cover throughout. 
 
 
Race 4: Nick Daley Plumbing Class 6 Handicap 1200m
 
MALKARA – Required to have its tongue-tie refitted on arrival at the barriers. Laid out under pressure over the final 200m.
 
FASSLER – Began awkwardly.  Overraced and got its head up throughout the event.  Laid out under pressure over the final 200m.
 
THE BAKER – Slow into stride.
 
CHIEF ADVOCATE – Jockey N. Day was fined the sum of $100 for using his whip in consecutive strides prior to the 100m
 
 
Race 5: Champ Resources Maiden Plate 1400m
 
COMMAND KNIGHT – As apprentice L Dodds was ill, he was replaced by Apprentice H English.
 
STARBEATS – Declared a late scratching at 2.40 pm due to a float breakdown.
 
GROUP SESSION – Overraced in the early and middle stages and passing the winning post was tightened for room and had to be checked when GAI OF THE GALAXY shifted in. Jockey N. Day, rider of Gai Of The Galaxy, was issued with a severe reprimand for shifting in when not fully clear. 
 
TRUST ISSUES -  Was found to have blood in its mouth on arrival at the barriers. Examined by the veterinary surgeon and cleared to start. It was also noticed that it had lost its tongue-tie, which was replaced. Approaching the winning post was bumped and hampered when tightened for room.
 
TWIST EDGERON – Began awkwardly.
 
HEZAGIGOLO – Tightened on jumping, then raced 3 wide without cover throughout.
 
MOHICAN MAGIC – Tightened on jumping away, and then had some difficulty securing clear running after passing the 200m.
 
RED RIPPA – Raced keenly and was buffeted between runners for a considerable distance from the 1100m to the 900m, then shifted out approaching the 100m to avoid heels. Laid out slightly approaching the winning post and was bumped.
 
GAI OF THE GALAXY – Raced 3 wide with cover throughout, and passing the winning post laid in and caused tightening to runners to its inside.
 
BEL SANDS – Raced 3 wide with cover throughout.
 
 
Race 6: Garrads Horse and Hound RJC Awards Night – Sat 15 Sep Class 1 Handicap 1050m
 
CIRCUIT JUDGE – Had to be steadied passing the 900m.
 
BLAZERAY – Had to be steadied when cramped for room by CORAL SEAS, which had crossed that runner.  Approaching the 600m improved on to heels and had to be steadied. Slightly held up for clear running from passing the 500m until leaving the 300m.
 
ADAYONDEK – Raced 3 wide without cover throughout.
 
CRAIGLEA TORQUE – Raced 3 wide with cover.
 
 
TORQUE – Raced 4 wide without cover.
 
HIGH HUSSY – Performed poorly and was beaten almost 16 lengths. Trainer V. Heading was advised that its nomination would be refused at TAB venues until such time as its form improved at non TAB venues.
 
 
Race 7: Milne Bros 0-55 Handicap 1200m 
 
FREE DROP – Broke through the barriers prior to the start being effected. Was returned to the barriers, examined by the veterinary surgeon and cleared to start.  Overraced passing the 800m and had to be steadied away from heels.
 
AMBER’S GIRL – Raced 3 wide with cover.
 
NASTY GAL – Raced 3 wide with cover.
