Race 1: RACING GALA BALL - SAT 23 MARCH CLASS 4 H’CAP – 1050M
 
LORD MARMADUKE – A post race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings. Jockey R. Wiggins and Trainer J. Wehlow could off no explanation for the disappointing performance of the gelding.
 
BARBADOS STORM – Began awkwardly and bumped another runner. Jockey R. Oakford was reminded of  his obligations regarding  use of his whip.
 
FIDEREUS – Bumped at the start.
 
DOOGUS – Began awkwardly and shifted out.
 
 
Race 2: THE GIDDY GOAT OPEN H’CAP – 1050M
 
GYPSY SECRET – Prior to the start being effected, the mare was fractious in the gates and as a consequence began very awkwardly, almost dislodging its rider and losing considerable ground.
 
The Starter advised that the barriers were retested prior to the running of Race 3 without concern.
 
Race 3: PFD FOODS MAIDEN PLATE– 1100M
 
KATANDRA – Began awkwardly and shifted in.
 
PRINCESS MISAKA – Began awkwardly.  Jockey C. McIver  and was reminded of his obligations to rides his mounts out fully to the end of the race.
 
DENMAN DANCER – Laid in under pressure over the final 300m.
 
CALZAGHE PRINCE – Stewards reminded  jockey M. Stephens of his obligations to ride his mounts out fully to the end of the race.
 
YASHODA – Raced 3 wide without cover before being allowed to stride forward to a position in the lead passing the 800m.
 
 
Race 4: CATWALK PINK BENCHMARK 65 H’CAP – 1500M
 
MISHNAH – Began awkwardly. Slightly inconvenienced leaving the 600m and laid in in the home straight.
 
SIR CHARLESTON – Began awkwardly. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormalities.
 
Following this event due to the ongoing malfunction of the starting mechanism, Stewards, after consultation with the starter and CEO of the club, agreed for the remainder of the races to be started manually.
 
 
Race 5: RTON MINI LOADS & TRUCK HIRE CLASS 2 H’CAP – 1300M
 
GRANOLA STATE – Raced keenly in the early stages.
 
FREE DROP – Raced keenly in the middle stages.
 
I TRUST LAYLA – Raced 3 wide without cover throughout.
 
ALL ABOUT JULIA – Began awkwardly and lost ground. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormalities.
 
 
Race 6: HAIRHOUSE WAREHOUSE QTIS THREE-YEARS-OLD MAIDEN H’CAP– 1050M
 
LARBAUD – Stewards accepted the explanation tendered by trainer B. Laming in relation to the late declaration of rider for the horse.
 
KINGS COUNTY – Jockey A. Butler was examined by ambulance officers and stood down from his engagement and was replaced by jockey N. Summers. 
 
ARQUERA – Held up passing the 400m, shifted in to secure clear running and then again was held up passing the 300m and was obliged to shift out to obtain clear running and in doing so inconvenienced SUJANI.
 
SUJANI – Bumped at the start. Near the 250m had to be eased from the heels of ARQUERA, which shifted out. R. Wiggins, rider of ARQUERA, was advised to exercise more care.  Approaching the 100m improved onto heels and was unable to obtain clear running and therefore was unable to be fully tested for the remainder.
 
SERIOUS CRIME – Slow to begin. Laid in under pressure over the concluding stages.
 
SANTISIMO – Began awkwardly.
 
ST BRUNO – Began awkwardly. Near the 300m was buffeted between runners when racing in restricted room.
 
SOWHAT IMAROCKSTAR – Bumped at the start.
 
FALVERA – Began awkwardly.
 
OUTSPOKEN – Near the 300m was slightly inconvenienced and obliged to shift out to obtain clear running.
 
LADY BEC – Raced 3 wide throughout.
 
MADAM LOVE – Raced wide without cover throughout.
 
 
Race 7: BNJ EQUINE VETS PTY LTD BENCHMARK 55 H’CAP – 1200M
 
VAN WINKEL – The start of the race was delayed when the horse made contact with the front of the barrier gate, forcing it open. Subsequently  was removed and examined by the veterinary surgeon and passed fit to race. Began awkwardly. Raced 3 wide without cover throughout. Laid in under pressure passing the 400m.
 
METEOR’S MAN – Began very awkwardly. Raced keenly in the early and middle stages and leaving the 300m was slightly hampered when VAN WINKEL laid in.
 
DAKOTA ROCKS – Began awkwardly.
 
STAR FROM HEAVEN – Improved onto heels and got its head up when being restrained near the 700m.
 
GLADISHING – Leaving the 300m was bumped by another runner and obliged to shift in.
 
POETIC REALITY – Raced 3 wide with cover throughout.
 
HIMALAYAN SALT – A post race veterinary examination  revealed the horse to be lame in the near foreleg. Trainer T. Button was advised that a veterinary clearance would be required prior to its next race start.
