Hanson SUPPLEMENTARY: Rockhampton 28/02/19, Race 8; FREE DROP - Trainer P. Dillon reported that the gelding suffered a ligament damage to near fore fetlock and subsequently would spelled for a period of 6 weeks. Subsequently was advised that a veterinary clearance would be required prior to resuming. HOUR GLASS TIME – Trainer L. Rowe reported that the mare in subsequent days pulled up sore on the off side fetlock. Subsequently was advised that a veterinary clearance would be required prior to resuming. GENERAL: As jockey David Hayes was indisposed due to injury, riding replacements were made as per Stewards Race Day Summary. Race 1: ULTON QTIS 2YO H’CAP – 1050M THE STOCKBROKER – Began awkwardly. Jockey L. Tilley was cautioned by stewards in relation to his whip use. OUR GIRL TAMIYA – Bumped at the start. Raced keenly in the early stages. Jockey N. Day was fined $200 for use of his whip more than 5 times prior to the 100m, and including some that were consecutive. QUEENOFMAINSTREET – Began awkwardly. CRAIGLEA ALTONA – Raced keenly in the early stages and was inclined to hang out throughout, and raced greenly over the concluding stages. BLUEY’S READY – Laid in over the concluding stages. ADAMEEANT – Raced greenly in the home straight. Race 2: HHH PARTNERS BENCHMARK 75 H’CAP – 1500M MUSTARRID - After winning Race 3 Benchmark 60, 1560m at Mackay on 5 March 2019 was penalised 2kg and carried 60.5kg. On arrival to course underwent a pre race veterinary examination which revealed no significant findings. A post race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings DON’T WE LOVE IT – Slow to begin. MISHNAH – Shifted in near the 150m to obtain clear running. DART’S AWAY – Laid in over the concluding stages. MR ATTITUDE – Hung out throughout. Following his event the track rating was upgraded to Good 3. Race 3: THE CAPRICORNIAN QTIS 3YO H’CAP – 1100M The start of this event was delayed when MARWAY broke through the front barriers, was returned to the start. Subsequently, underwent a veterinary examination and was passed fit to race. MARWAY - Raced keenly in the early and middle stages, and got its head up on some occasions. OUR TOP SHELF – Slow to begin. Raced wide until obtaining a position outside the leader near the 700m. Jockey N. Thomas was cautioned in relation to his whip use. CRAIGLEA GALIO – Began awkwardly. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormalities. CRACIE BELLE – Began awkwardly. Shifted out to obtain clear running near the 300m. Race 4: CHARLIES PEST CONTROL CLASS 6 PLATE – 1200M LUCIFER’S ANGEL – Began awkwardly and lost ground. Had to be steadied from heels near the 300m when OUR TOP SHELF commenced to weaken. MISTA BUSY – Began awkwardly. Raced wide throughout. HELLUVA HOFFA – Slow to begin. BOLD XAVVI – Began awkwardly. UTHRED – Began awkwardly. Approaching the 400m improved on to heels, had to steady and shift out to obtain clear running. DANE CHEVAL – Near the 500m was brushed by QUICK KETCH when it shifted out slightly. Raced 3 wide without cover throughout. Race 5: 990 4RO QTIS 3YO AND 4YO MAIDEN H’CAP– 1200M KAOS AGENT – Began awkwardly. A post race veterinary examination revealed a laceration to the off side hind coronet. OUTSPOKEN – Trainer M. Attard advised that the filly would attempt to be ridden more forward if circumstances permit. Subsequently after being tightened for room and having to steady shortly after the start settled in a rearward position. Shifted in under pressure over the concluding stages. ACEEM – Bumped shortly after the start. Raced wide throughout. TOP EVIE – Leaving the 800m commenced to overrace. Approaching the 700m had to be eased when STARBEATS laid in. Jockey T. Doyle, rider of STARBEATS, was advised to exercise more care. Raced wide throughout. Near the 400m was forced wider by another runner. CHEVY – Had to be steadied from heels when STORMINA laid in approaching the 200m. STORMINA – Commenced to lay in approaching and leaving 200m when weakening. STARBEATS – Raced wide throughout. Laid in, in the home straight. Near the 400m was brushed and forced wider by another runner. GOLDSAY – Raced 3 wide throughout. Near the 400m was inconvenienced when OUR DESERT ROSE shifted out. Leaving the 350m had to be steadied away from heels. Jockey M. Milford, rider of OUR DESERT ROSE, pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under AR131(a), in that leaving the 300m he allowed his mount to continue to shift out whilst being ridden under pressure, and in doing so tightened the room of GOLDSAY, resulting in that runner having to be steadied away from heels. Jockey Milford was reprimanded on this occasion. In issuing a reprimand, stewards took into account his exemplary record in that he had not been suspended under this rule. OUR DESERT ROSE – Shifted out under pressure in the home straight. SUJANI – Laid in under pressure in the home straight. Near the 400m was inconvenienced by another runner. Trainer K. Miller when questioned in relation to the improved performance explained that as the filly was up in distance it was able to settle in the run and had been working well leading up to today’s event. HOT CHOCOLATE – Post race veterinary examination revealed gelding to have slow post race recovery. Race 6: TROPICAL AUTO GROUP CLASS 2 PLATE– 1300M MAC’S METTLE – Slow to begin. Laid in over the concluding stages. VAN WINKLE – Began awkwardly. Raced keenly in the early and middle stages. BRUTAL BABE – Began awkwardly. DAUNTING QUEEN – Slow to begin. SHADOW VISION – Slow to begin. Trainer J. McConachy was fined $100 presenting SHADOW VISION to race with incorrect gear. EMILY’S SONG – Began awkwardly. Near the 500m laid out and bumped DELCETTO SYRAH. DELCETTO SYRAH – Bumped by another runner near the 500m SHENRON – When attempting to take a run to the inside of SHADOW VISION, was obliged to shift back in to obtain clear running. Race 7: BELROMA PARK CLASS 3 H’CAP – 1100M TYRANNIZE – Began awkwardly. MAEVE IN MANHATTAN – Began awkwardly, and was tightened for room shortly after the start. PRIDE OF DESTINY – Raced wide in the early stages. Lost its off-hind plate in running. CASH STRAPPED – Raced wide in the early and middle stages. WORTH THE TIME – Overraced in the early and middle stages. Accidentally dropped his whip near the 150m. MR PHENOMENAL – Shifted wide near the 300m to obtain clear running.
