As Jockey G Steele was not riding due to illness, rider replacements were made as per the Stewards Race Day Summary. Jockey Steele was advised that she would require a medical clearance prior to race riding again.
 
Race 1: Big Boys Toys Expo – This Weekend at Callaghan Park QTIS Two-Years-Old Maiden Handicap 1300m
 
SOUTHCURLY – Raced wide without cover throughout. After passing the 400 metres was brushed by MARRON CHEVAL, then shifted out and away from that filly.
 
LITTLE SPOON – After passing the 400 metres was hampered and bumped outwards by CABARET CAPER.
 
SHAGRIMMY – Unbalanced on jumping when bumped by LITTLE SPOON, which in turn had been bumped by TALES OF EPSILON.
 
CABARET CAPER – After passing the 400 metres shifted out and away from SOUTHCURLY when that gelding shifted out.
 
MARRON CHEVAL – Raced keenly in the early stages and when doing so near the 1100 metres shifted out and bumped LITTLE SPOON, resulting in both horses becoming unbalanced. Continued to prove difficult to settle for some distance thereafter. Rider C. Jokic was reprimanded for permitting her mount to shift outwards after passing the 400 metres making contact with SOUTHCURLY. Lost its off fore plate in running.
 
Race 2: XXXX Gold Winter Racing Carnival QTIS Three-Years-Old Maiden Handicap 1100m
 
Prior to the declaration of correct weight, Jockey R. Wiggins rider of BOLD ZIP viewed the Stewards patrol films over the concluding stages before deciding not to lodge an objection.
 
TOPGRAPHIC – Slow into stride. Approaching the 300 metres was eased to avoid the heels of GREAT FOX.
 
GREAT FOX – Slow to begin. Shifted outwards approaching the 300 metres.
 
KATIE’S GIRL – A post-race veterinary examination revealed that the filly returned to the enclosure with blood in her mouth.
 
Race 3: Girls Grammar Rton Race Day - Maiden Plate 1050m
 
KOBY’S STRATEGY – Prior to the race rider L. Tilley advised he had been instructed to ride the gelding off the pace if circumstances permit. Was ridden accordingly. Made contact with the outside of its barrier on jumping. Raced keenly in the early and middle stages.
 
SFILZA – Raced wide in the early stages.
 
GOLDEN MOUNT – Slow to begin. Proved difficult to ride out over the concluding stages due to laying in.
 
JACK ON THE ROCKS – Bumped HUMP DE BUMP on jumping.
 
HUMP DE BUMP – Bumped on jumping.
 
SIOUXSE – For the majority of the home straight had a tendency to lay in.
 
Race 4: $10,000 Trainer’s Cash Bonus – Fri 5 – Sat 6 July BenchMark 60 Handicap 1823m
 
As EFFECTAV, ARCHIE’S SON and ZOFFANY ROCKET all started at Mackay on Saturday 25th of May, they underwent a pre-race veterinary inspections and were all subsequently cleared to start.
 
GLADISHING – Slow to begin. Jockey M Stephen was fined $300 for his use of the whip prior to the 100 metres.
 
PROANE – Slow into stride. For a short distance after passing the 200 metres had difficulty obtaining clear running between RUFFY ROAD and BLOSSOM.
 
MAGMELLOU – Raced keenly in the early stages. Became unbalanced near the 400 metres when bumped by PERFECTLY ALIGNED.
PERFECTLY ALGINED – Near the 400 metres shifted out and bumped MAGMELLOU. Jockey N Thomas was reprimanded for his use of the whip prior to the 100 metres.
 
ARCHIE’S SON – Rider reported that he eased his mount down over the concluding stages as the gelding felt short in its action. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.
 
SAGRE’S POINT – Trainer B Loakes was fined $100 for failed to declare Jockey A Spinks by the prescribed time.
 
Race 5: Veuve Clicquot Enc – Sat 6 July BenchMark 55 Handicap 1400m
 
ANNIE’S OUR HERO – Slow to begin.
 
JUSTALAD – Forced wide on the track by KINGS COUNTY which shifted out abruptly near the 1000 metres. Then raced wide for the remainder of the race.
 
KINGS COUNTY – Near the 1000 metres, when overracing, shifted out abruptly and forced JUSTALAD wider on the track.
 
GOTEN – Overraced in the early stages.
 
POETIC SHOW – Proved difficult to settle in the middle stages.
 
LIKE ‘EM SASSY – After passing the 400 metres, eased to avoid the heels of ART NOUVEAU which shifted in. Was then held up for a short distance until near the 300 metres.
 
ART NOUVEAU – For the majority of the home straight, laid in under pressure.
 
FLAT TO STACK – Raced wide throughout.
 
Race 6: Chanel Lunch – Sat 15 June Class 6 Plate 1200m
 
CRAIGLEA PISTOL – Lost ground at the start after jumping away awkwardly.
 
NOW ASK ME – Slow into stride after beginning awkwardly.
 
WORTH THE TIME – Raced wide without cover throughout.
 
MARWAY – Jockey B Pengelly reported that the gelding did not travel as well as he had in previous starts and after being placed under pressure from near the 400 metres, failed to respond to his riding. He added that over the concluding stages, he eased the gelding down as had felt something was amiss. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a slower than normal recovery rate.
 
BOGGOMS – Jockey L Tilley dismounted on pulling due to concerns with the near fore fetlock of the gelding. Upon returning to the enclosure was found to have dislodged a near fore plate. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding had swelling in the near fore fetlock. Trainer C Smith was advised that a veterinary clearance would be required prior to the gelding racing again.
 
Race 7: Follow Us On Facebook Class 1 Handicap 1200m
 
KRUGER – Slow to begin.
 
MAGIC WU – Approaching the 600 metres became unbalanced when buffeted between KRUGER and TAMBO’S VIXEN which shifted in slightly. Held up from near the 500 metres until passing the 300 metres.
 
THE VOLTO – Hampered near the 300 metres when CHEEKY MILA shifted out. Held up for a short distance thereafter.
 
CHEEKY MILA – Shifted out abruptly near the 300 metres before being straightened by its rider.
 
QUADACUS – Raced wide throughout.
 
BIG SHAKA – Raced wide throughout.
 
TAMBO’S VIXEN – Raced wide without cover throughout.
