Williams SUPPLEMENTARY REPORTS YEPPOON 1ST OCTOBER 2020 – RACE 1 Natural Emperor – Trainer T Smith reported that NATURAL EMPEROR had jarred up after returning to the stables and would now look to start the filly on tracks with greater give. MACKAY 6th OCTOBER 2020 – RACE 3 Autmed – Trainer M Jokic reported that AUTMED had pulled up well following its disappointing performance and would continue on with its preparation. Race 1: NORTH TULLAMORE PASTORAL COMPANY Maiden Plate 1400m Corkonian – Rider N Day was fined $400 for using his whip 7 times prior to the 100m, 2 more than permissible under the rule. Investible – Overraced in the early stages. Presley Road – Slow to begin. When questioned regarding PRESLEY ROAD leading in today’s event, jockey S Wiseman stated that after being slow to begin, she elected to push forward rather than be trapped wide. Stewards noted the explanation. Rider S Wiseman was reprimanded for using her whip 6 times prior to the 100m, 1 more than permissible under the rule. Provocative Man - Laid in under pressure in the straight. Roaring Spirit – Overraced in the early and middle stages. Held up for clear running on entering the home straight and had to shift wider to improve. The Sheldonator – Raced wide throughout. Thorben – Overraced in the early and middle stages. Raced wide throughout. Blame It On Paris – Overraced in the early and middle stages and approaching the 800m, had to be steadied after improving onto heels. Had difficulty obtaining clear running from the 400m to inside the 200m after being held up on the heels of the weakening BROOK’S GIRL. Momentarily inconvenienced passing the 200m by ZOOMARATTA. Zoomaratta – Jumped away awkwardly and was slow into stride. Was held up for clear running approaching the 300m on the heels of BRAHMINY and elected to shift in in an attempt to improve. Shortly after was disappointed for a run between BRAHMINY and BLAME IT ON PARIS and as a result became awkward in its stride after contacting BLAME IT ON PARIS’ hindquarter. When questioned regarding the poor performance, jockey R Wiggins stated that he could offer no explanation for the disappointing performance. Trainers representative A Coome stated that he was of the opinion that gelding was better suited racing closer to the speed, he was nonetheless very disappointed with the performance and added the horse would now be leaving the stable. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. A swab sample was taken from the gelding. Brook’s Girl – A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. Race 2: ONSITE FLEET MAINTENANCE Class 6 Plate 1300m Chinchinbilla – Held up for clear running from the vicinity of the 500m and was disappointed for a run where there was insufficient room to improve approaching the 400m, to the inside of SCORCHA and as a result, had to be checked after clipping the heels of that runner. Apprentice D Graham was advised that she would be referred to the Riders Advisory Panel for remedial training. Native Bee – Held up for clear running behind BUFFY passing the 400m and was obliged to shift out and around the heels of APPLICANT to improve.Scorcha – Approaching the 150m, was severely hampered and had to be checked to avoid the heels of CHINCHINBILLA who shifted in when insufficiently clear. Apprentice D Graham pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under AR131(a) and her license to ride in races was suspended for a period of 14 days to commence midnight 17th October to midnight 31st October 2020. When assessing penalty, Stewards took into account Apprentice Grahams guilty plea, record and deemed the carelessness to be in the high range. A post race veterinary examination revealed lacerations to the near hind leg. Applicant – Overraced in the early stages. Laid in under pressure in the straight. Race 3: PAT O'DRISCOLL REAL ESTATE RATINGS BAND 0 - 70 Handicap 1050m Santisimo – Held up for clear running rounding the home turn and was obliged to shift out approaching the 500m to improve into clear running. Hayyler's Tary – Contacted on jumping away. Belzu – Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination after competing in the past 7 days and was passed fit to start. Overraced rounding the home turn. Laid in under pressure in the straight. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Vogue Rock – Momentarily inconvenienced passing the 800m. Aleysa's Miracle – Jumped away awkwardly shifting out abruptly contacting HAYYLER’S TARY. Approaching the 900m, had to be restrained after improving onto the heels of RAIN ON ME. Rain On Me – When questioned in regards to RAIN ON ME losing considerable ground approaching the 900m, Jockey Nelson stated that she elected to restrain her mount after racing in restricted room but her mount overreacted and came back further then she had intended. Race 4: ST PETER'S CAULFIELD CUP RACEDAY - SAT 17 OCTOBER 2020 QTIS 3-Y-O Maid 1100m Gitchem's Gold – Slow to begin. Indenial – Jumped awkwardly. Overraced in the early stages. Apparently Not – Jumped awkwardly contacting the outside barrier partition. Serioustemptation – Slow to begin. On entering the home straight, became awkwardly placed on heels of FINAL CRIME and was obliged to shift in. Raced greenly when placed under pressure in the straight. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. Emilee's Empire – Raced wide throughout. Rosettes – Slow to begin. Raced wide throughout. Fairybower Flyer - Raced wide throughout. Approaching the 400m, was momentarily inconvenienced by ROSETTES which shifted in and GLITCHEM’S GOLD which shifted out. It's a Pearler – Overraced in the early stages. Approaching the 100m, had to be steadied off the heels of APPARENTLY NOT which shifted out. Rider A Butler was advised to exercise greater care in similar circumstances. Marinasara – Slow to begin. Following the running of this event the track was upgraded to a Good 3. Race 5: THE ROCKS YEPPOON, BAR AND RESTAURANT #FOTF BENCHMARK 65 Handicap 1600m Twinspier (NZ) – Overraced in the early stages. Approaching the 350m, was momentarily held up for clear running and was shifted out to improve. Boiling – Overraced in the early stages. Svindal – Overraced in the early stages. In the vicinity of the 350m, had to be steadied off the heels of TWINSPIER (NZ) who shifted out when insufficiently clear. At a subsequent inquiry, jockey P Hamblin pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under AR131(a) and his license to ride in races was suspended for a period of 5 days to commence midnight 17th October and to conclude midnight 22nd October 2020. When assessing penalty, Stewards took into account Jockey Hamblin’s exemplary record, his guilty plea and the low degree of consequences. Niatross - Slow to begin. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. Trainer R Vale stated that NIATROSS would now be leaving his stable. Gladishing – Hampered on jumping. Race 6: #PRECINCTPIMMSPARTY Class 2 Handicap 1300m Highfalutin Gal – Contacted on jumping. Rock 'n' Sol – Rounding the home turn became awkwardly placed on the heels of HIGHFALUTIN GAL. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. Trainer T Cook undertook to report back on the condition of ROCK ‘N’ SOL in the days subsequent. Tontein – Shifted out on jumping contacting HIGHFALUTIN GAL. Overraced in the early stages and had to be restrained after becoming awkwardly placed on heels. Continued to overrace for the remainder of the event. Miss Star – Slow to begin. Race 7: XXXX GOLD RATINGS BAND 0 - 55 Handicap 1050m Lord Greystoke – Rider J Stanley reported his mount was inclined to hang in throughout the event. Law Office – Jumped away awkwardly shifting out abruptly contacting ARABELLA EKCELS. Arabella Ekcels – Hampered on jumping away. A post race veterinary examination revealed a poor post race recovery. Shezashootingstar – Jumped away awkwardly. Bridget's Diary – Apprentice M Potgieter reported that his mount resented racing tight between runners. He added that passing the 900m, he received slight pressure from his outside and as a result his mount overreacted to the incident and lost considerable ground. Cheeky Mila – A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. Miss Ready Now – Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination after not competing in the past 12 months and was passed fit to start. Rosaire – Laid in under pressure in the straight. Delta Rose – Slow to begin. Vehement – Jumped awkwardly. Jockey N Nelson was reprimanded for using her whip 7 times prior to the 100m, 2 more than permissible under the rule.
