Williams GENERALAs Apprentice E Smith and Jockey M Murphey were indisposed stewards approved the replacements as per the stewards’ summary. Both Apprentice Smith and Jockey Murphey were advised they must furnish a medical certificate. Race 1: HAPPY 50TH BIRTHDAY RUTH SIGANTO RATINGS BAND 0 - 65 Handicap 1200 metres GYPSY BIKER – Laid in when placed under pressure in the home straight. SUNRISE DANCER – Slow to begin. ATTIQUE – Approaching the 950m, had to be checked to avoid the heels of LINGALONGA LASS. Jockey B Appo, rider of LINGALONGA LASS plead guilty to a charge of careless riding under the provision of AR131(a). The careless riding being that passing the 950m he allowed his mount to shift in when insufficiently clear of ATTIQUE which had to be checked and lost its rightful running. Jockey B Appo had his licence to ride in races suspended for a period of 9 days to commence midnight 29th January 2021 and to expire midnight 7th February 2021. Held up for clear running on entering the home straight. Race 2: ST PATRICK'S DAY RACES - SATURDAY 13 MARCH QTIS Three-Year-Old Class 3 1400 metres SONEYMAR STAR – Slow to begin. Overraced in the early and middle stages. Laid in when placed under pressure in the home straight. KOTABHARU – Overraced in the early and middle stages. AMOREM – Slow to begin. Race 3: CAPRICORNIA YEARLING SALE - FRIDAY 9TH- SUNDAY 11TH APRIL QTIS Two-Year 1050 metres AHOOSHU – Jumped away awkwardly. BEAN DEADLY – Raced wide throughout the event. momentarily inconvenienced on entering the home straight. CHESTER'S ANGEL – Hampered on jumping away. Laid out when placed under pressure in the home straight. I'M STROLLING – Passing the 300m after been struck with the whip became awkward in its stride and made contact with the running rail ONE BOLD BID – When questioned regarding the performance of the Filly, Jockey A Sewell stated that after beginning well his mount was reluctant to stride out in the middle stages and failed to maintain contact with the field. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. Trainer C Smith was advised a warning would be placed on the record of the filly in relation to its competitiveness. REAL DIVINE – In the vicinity of the 300m, had to be steadied to avoid the heels of I’M STROLLING who became awkward in its stride. Race 4: CALLAGHAN PARK FUNCTIONS AND EVENTS CENTRE Maiden Plate 1500 metres ESPEREUS – Passing the 400m was momentarily inconvenienced by MONTEREY LAD who was carried out by MIKHAIL which shifted out to improve. FIORETICAL – Raced wide throughout the event. Apprentice D McGillivray was fined $300 under AR132(7)(a)(ii) for using his whip on seven occasions prior to the 100m, two more than permitted. MONTEREY LAD – Raced ungenerously throughout the event. Passing the 400m was momentarily inconvenienced by MIKHAIL which shifted out to improve. In the vicinity of the 200m became awkward in its stride. Jockey B Appo reported that his mount failed to respond to his riding throughout the event. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. Trainer J Davine was advised a warning would be placed on the record in relation to its racing mannerisms. SERIOUSLY UNUSUAL – hampered shortly after the start and clipped a heel and blundered. SHE'S OUR EMPRESS - Race 5: SUNDAY MORNING BIG BREAKFAST OPEN Handicap 1100 metres MR ATTITUDE – A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. MR PHENOMENAL – When questioned regarding the performance, Jockey J Stanley stated that his mount began on fairly and felt awkward in its action throughout the event. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. BRAD – Laid in when placed under pressure in the home straight. Race 6: ROCKY RACECOURSE MARKETS - EVERY SUNDAY BENCHMARK 58 Handicap 1400 metres ASK NINO – Rider N Seymour was fined $500 under AR132(7)(a)(ii) for using his whip on nine occasions prior to the 100m, four more than permitted. CONQUERING JUDAS – Stewards allowed T Bannon to ride CONQUERING JUDAS 1kg over its allotted weight as there were no other available replacements for Apprentice E Smith who was indisposed. BONVILLE – Slow to begin. Laid in when placed under pressure in the home straight. OR ELSE – Raced wide throughout the event. After taking evidence from Jockey C McIver, stewards adjourned an inquiry into the actions of Jockey C McIver during the loading process of the gelding to a time and date to be fixed. FIGHT THE KNEAD – Raced wide throughout the event. TOKAREV – Was declared a late scratching at 4.45pm after refusing to load.
