Williams Race 1: BECOME A CLUB 150 MEMBER 2021 QTIS Three-Year-Old Handicap 1100 metres KEFALONIA- Laid in under pressure in the home straight. APPARENTLY NOT – Underwent a prerace veterinary examination after being fractious enroute to the course and was passed fit to start. Overraced in the early and middle stages. Laid out rounding the home turn. An inquiry into the circumstances which resulted in Apprentice A Ross being dislodged passing the 200m was adjourned to a time and date to be fixed. REAL ANA – Underwent a prerace veterinary examination after competing in the past 7 days and was passed fit to race. Following the running of this event, Apprentice A Ross was examined and stood down from her remaining engagements by the Queensland Ambulance Officers. Race 2: HYGAIN/MITAVITE CAPRICORNIA YEARLING SALE QTIS Two-Year-Old Maiden Han 1100 metres ALIKICK – Overraced in the early and middle stages and approaching the 900m had to be restrained after improving onto heels. Approaching the 700m had to be restrained again after improving onto heels. Raced greenly when placed under pressure in the straight. LASCO – Overraced in the early and middle stages. 700m had to be restrained after improving onto heels. JACK'S ECHO – Approaching the 700m had to be restrained to avoid the heels of ROUND THE FIRE, which shifted in when insufficiently clear to do so. Jockey B Appo, rider of ROUND THE FIRE, was found guilty of a charge under the provisions of AR131(a) for allowing his mount to shift in when insufficiently clear to do so. Jockey Appo’s license to ride in races was suspended for a period of nine (9) days to commence midnight 20th February 2021 until midnight 1st March 2021. ROUND THE FIRE – Raced green throughout the event. Following the running of this event Jockey N Day was examined by Queensland Ambulance Officers after being dislodged returning to the mounting enclosure and was passed fit to fulfill his remaining engagements. Race 3: RUM CITY FOODS 2YO CLASSIC CALCUTTA THURSDAY 8 APRIL BENCHMARK 60 Hand 1200 metres AUXIN – Laid in when placed under pressure in the home straight. LIEUTENANT – Jumped away awkwardly, almost dislodging its rider. Overraced in the early and middle stages. Laid in when placed under pressure in the home straight. CULLINGWORTH (IRE) – Overraced in the middle stages. Race 4: HAPPY 21ST BIRTHDAY NICK LLOYD OPEN Handicap 1500 metres MR PHENOMENAL – When questioned in relation to the improved performance of the gelding, Trainer D. Gardiner stated that he was disappointed with the performance of MR PHENOMENAL in its two previous starts but had pleased in its work leading into todays event. He added that the gelding was stepping up in distance today and was better suited to the slow tempo. DAUNTING QUEEN – Laid in when placed under pressure in the home straight. When questioned regarding the performance of the mare, Apprentice Wishart stated that her mount travelled well in the early and middle stages but once pressured on entering the straight her mount weakened noticeably. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. MACHO TYCOON – Overraced in the early and middle stages. Laid out rounding home turn. PROANE – Overraced in the early and middle stages. When questioned regarding the performance of the gelding, Apprentice Southam stated that her mount raced keen throughout the event and when asked for a finishing effort when entering the home straight, failed to respond to her riding and ran to the line in a disappointing manner. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. ELLE A WALKING – Overraced in the early and middle stages. Had difficultly obtaining clear running passing the 400m and had to shift wider to improve. FINUCANE MISSILE – Slow to begin. Race 5: ST PATRICK'S DAY RACES SATURDAY 13 MARCH Maiden Handicap 1300 metres KALGOORLIE – Stood flatfooted as the start was affected and as a result was slow into stride. PARKY NOT CLARKEY- A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. Trainer A Coome stated that the gelding would be leaving his stable. FROOME – Raced wide throughout the event. DUNTROON MAN – Slow to begin. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. MOTHERLODE – Late scratching at 2pm due to no available rider after Apprentice A Ross was stood down from her remaining engagements. PRICKLY TICK – Overraced in the early and middle stages. RAW INSTINCT – Late scratching at 7.50am due to no available rider. THINK I'M A LADY – raced wide in the early stages. Race 6: HAPPY 21ST BIRTHDAY KOHDE PITCHER-KELLY QTIS Three-Year-Old Maiden Han 1100 metres BOOTYFUL DIVA – Overraced in the early and middle stages. CHESTO'S DREAM – Approaching the 900m had to be restrained to avoid the heels of MAGNIFICA which shifted in when insufficiently clear to do so. Jockey Sewell, rider of MANIFICA plead guilty to a charge under the provision of AR131(a) for allowing his mount to shift ground when insufficiently clear. Jockey Sewell’s license to ride in races was suspended for a period of seven (7) days to commence midnight 13th February 2021 until midnight 20th February 2021. Held up clear running on entering the home straight. OLLIE'S STAND – Trainer P Fleming was fined $100 under LR67 for the late declaration of Jockey B Appo. Jumped away awkwardly. EMMA ROCKET – Under went a pre race veterinary examination after not competing for the past 12 months and was passed fit to start. Overraced in the early and middle stages. Race 7: BIG BREAKFAST EVERY SUNDAY RATINGS BAND 0 - 65 Handicap 1600 metres GYPSY BIKER – Laid in when placed under pressure in the home straight. STONE WARRIOR – Laid in when placed under pressure in the home straight. MYSTERY ELEMENT – Overraced in the early and middle stages. Held up FIGHTING FAITH – Overraced in the early and middle stages.
