SUPPLEMENTARY REPORT
 
From Rockhampton 5.3.21
Race 8. Jockey C Eaton, rider of TEZOFF, was fined $300 under AR132(7)(a)(ii) for using her whip on eight occasions prior to the 100m, three more than permitted.
 
 
Race 1: SWANWICK MURRAY ROCHE LAWYERS QTIS Two-Years-Old Colts & Geldings Maid 1200 metres
 
JACK'S ECHO – Approaching the winning post, had to shift out after being awkwardly placed on the heels of ELECTRIC SPIRIT.
 
KAMARCHER – Slow to begin.
 
 
Race 2: Oaks Oasis Resort Caloundra BM60 Handicap 1000 metres
 
Correct weight was delayed to allow Jockey C. Whiteley and Trainer T. Cook to review the stewards patrol footage in ascertain if they had ground to lodge an objection. As they elected to not lodge an objection correct weight was declared.
 
AGUSTAWYND – Hampered on jumping away. Overraced in the early and middle stages. Brushed with TOP CEEDEE on a number of occasions over the concluding stages.
 
FLIRTY MISS – Slow to begin. Inconvenienced shortly after jumping away. When questioned in relation to the filly’s performance, Jockey B Appo stated that after being hampered on jumping his mount failed to respond to his riding at any stage and ran to the line in a disappointing manner. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.
 
TOP CEEDEE – Jumped away awkwardly. Overraced in the early stages. Laid in when placed under pressure in the home straight. Brushed with AGUSTAWYND over the final stages.
 
CALPURNIA – Laid in when placed under pressure in the home straight.
 
MOODY'S LUCK – Hampered on jumping away.
 
DAUNTING PRINCESS – Raced fierce in the early stages and approaching the 900m shifted wider after becoming awkwardly placed on the heels of BOUDICA’S GIFT.
 
 
Race 3: Dulux QTIS Three-Years-Old BM65 Handicap 1000 metres
 
MEATBALL – Improved wide middle stages
 
FINUCANE MISSILE – Fractious in the barriers prior to the start and was slow to begin. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding had suffered a minor laceration to the lower lip.
 
CZECHOSLOVAKIA (NZ) – Overraced in the early and middle stages. Laid out when placed under pressure in the straight.
 
 
Race 4:  Higgins Coatings BM70 Handicap 1000 metres
 
BOGEY MAN – Hampered on jumping. Was awkwardly placed on heels near the 600m and shifted ground outwards to obtain clear running.
 
I DREAM OF GREEN – Shifted inwards at the start hampering another runner.
 
LEPREEZY – Raced keenly through the early and middle stages.
 
BOSS BABY – Hung outwards and made the bend awkwardly near the 600m. Laid inwards in the home straight.
 
 
 
Race 5: BECOME A MEMBER - ONLINE RTON TICKETS QTIS Three-Year-Old Maiden Handicap 1200 metres
 
HELLUVA HOFFA – Raced keenly in the middle stages and had to be restrained off heels passing the 800m.
 
LAST EDITION – Over raced early stages and was awkwardly placed on heels near the 950m.
 
BANTU BAY – Reared at the start and was slow away as a result. Raced wide throughout.
 
ZATORIO – Raced keenly through the early and middle stages and was awkwardly placed on heels near the 800m. 
 
MARRON CHEVAL – Over raced through the early stages. Laid outwards in the home straight under pressure.
 
 
Race 6: Dulux Class 4 Handicap 1200 metres
 
An inquiry was opened and adjourned in relation to the conduct of jockey B Appo (ISIS BRUMBY) prior to the start. 
 
ISIS BRUMBY – A pre-race veterinary examination cleared ISIS BRUMBY to start after it was observed to have minor abrasions to its near hind inner leg. Shifted inwards at the start. Laid inwards throughout the final 400m. A post-race veterinary examination failed to detect any abnormalities. Rider B Appo was fined $300 pursuant to AR132(7)(a)(ii) for using his whip on six occasions prior to the 100m one more than permitted.
 
HAVANNAH SUNSET – Shifted inwards at the start hampering another runner.
 
ROCKY POET – Permission was granted for E Smith to ride ROCKY POET .5kg over its allocated weight due to no other available rider. Shifted outwards at the start hampering another runner.
 
LAW OFFICE – Hampered at the start when ROCKY POET shifted outwards and HAVANNAH SUNSET shifted inwards.
 
SILVER LUCY – Laid inwards over the final 500m.
 
CIRCUIT JUDGE – N Thomas was an authorised late rider notification after his mount was scratched due to no other riders being available. Hampered at the start by ISIS BRUMBY which shifted inwards at the start.
