Williams SUPPLEMENTARY REPORT From Mackay Turf Club 29 May 2021 - Race 4 After inquiring into the arrival time of trainers T Button, R Chillemi, J Wigginton and T Bourke it was established all four trainers had arrived on course by the required time pursuant to LR30, no Stewards directives had been breached and therefore no further action was required. Race 1: CLUB 150/WINTER CARNIVAL LAUNCH 10 JUNE QTIS 2-Y-OHandicap 1200 metres LASCO – Hampered on jumping away. Overraced in the early and middle stages. Passing the 700m had to be restrained after improving onto the heels of MOONLIT ROSE. SHESAYSTHANKS – Jumped away awkwardly. Overraced in the early and middle stages. MOONLIT ROSE – Hampered on jumping away. KOHEETO – Jumped away awkwardly. When questioned in relation to the improved performance, Trainer G Green stated that KOHEETO had pleased in its work leading into today’s race and wasn’t surprised by the improved performance. He added that the KOHEETO was able to gain an untested lead and set a genuine tempo. Race 2: RJC WINTER CARNIVAL AMBASSADOR WILLIAM PIKEMaiden Handicap 1100 metres HANGRY – Laid out rounding the home turn. FAIRYBOWER FLYER – Laid in when placed under pressure in the home straight. SHEZROYAL – Rider M Stephens had his license to ride in races suspended for a period of 8 days under the provisions AR132(7)(a)(ii) for using his whip on eleven occasions prior to the 100m, six more than permitted. His period of period of suspension to commence midnight 1 June 2021 and to conclude midnight 9 June 2021. In considering penalty stewards took into consideration this was Jockey Stephens second breach since 8 August 2020. THORBEN – Momentarily inconvenienced shortly after jumping away when having to be restrained to avoid the heels of FIRESTONE which shifted in. Jockey M. McGillivray, rider of FIRESTONE, was reminded of his obligations to be clear when shifting ground in future. Overraced in the early and middle stages. Race 3: 3 GIRLS GRAMMAR ROCKHAMPTON RACEDAY SAT 19 JUNEClass 2 Handicap 1400 metres NASA – Overraced in the early and middle stages. Momentarily inconvenienced passing the 200m. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. ACCELERANT –Laid in when placed under pressure in the straight. Weakened noticeably over the concluding stages. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding had bled from both nostrils on the first occasion. Trainer R. Vale was advised of the conditions of AR79(4). PROVOCATIVE MAN – Momentarily inconvenienced shortly after jumping away. Held up for clear running approaching the 400m and was obliged to shift out to improve into clear running. HYPERION STAR (NZ) – Momentarily inconvenienced shortly after jumping away. Laid in when placed under pressure in the home straight. DACXI KABOOM – Hampered on jumping away. Race 4:NEWMARKET RACEDAY FRIDAY 9 JULY BENCHMARK 60Handicap 1600 metres TRUMP ME – Overraced in the early and middle stages and had to be restrained on several occasions after improving onto heels. CENTAUR – Passing the 200m was disappointed for a run between TYCOON FLYER and TAVI MCBRIDE (NZ) after NICKS shifted in to obtain clear running in doing so carried CENTAUR in across the heels of TYCOON FLYER. ANGOLA MISS – Slow to begin. COACH – Overraced in the early and middle stages. Held up for clear running on entering the home straight. NICKS – Raced in restricted room over the concluding stages and was unable to be fully tested to the line. Race 5: 5 ROCKHAMPTON CUP RACEDAY SATURDAY 10 JULY OPENHandicap 1050 metres GYPSY TOFF – Jumped away awkwardly. Apprentice A. Ross was fined $300 under AR132(7)(a)(ii) for using her whip on six occasions prior to the 100m, one more than permitted. In determining penalty stewards took into account this was Apprentice Ross’s fifth breach of the rule since 8 August 2020. CHEZBLACK – underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was passed fit to start. ALEYSA'S DREAM – Raced wide throughout the event. Rider B El’Issa was fined $200 under AR132(7)(a)(i) for using his whip on 2 consecutive occasions prior to the 100m. In determining penalty stewards took into account this was Jockey El’Issa’s third breach of the rule since 8 August 2020. Race 6: 6 WIZARD OF THE WEST WILLIAM PIKE Class 6 Handicap1200 metres REVENIRE – Slow to begin. SRINI – Help up for clear running on entering the home straight. CAVELLTON – Slow to begin. Held up for clear running passing the 400m and had to shift out to improve. BETTER THAN GROOVY – Slow to begin. DOOM – Slow to begin. Raced wide throughout the event. Apprentice A. Ross advised that she had concerns with the action of the gelding over the concluding stages. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. TARAKI – stewards accepted the circumstances leading to the late rider change of C. Whiteley replacing L. Tilley. HIDDEN GODDESS – Overraced in the early and middle stages. Raced wide throughout the event. Race 7: FOLLOW US ON FACEBOOK RATINGS BAND 0 - 58 Handicap1200 metres LAST EDITION – Slow to begin. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. STARSONIC – Underwent a prerace veterinary examination and was passed fit to start. Jumped away awkwardly. Raced wide throughout the event. DIVINE APPROACH – Jumped away awkwardly. Became awkward in its stride passing the 500m for no apparent reason. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. KARENO – Was declared a late scratching at 4.38pm on veterinary advice.
