Race 1: HIGHGROVE BATHROOMS Class 6 Plate 1400 metres
 
DEMURRAL – Slow into stride.
 
KINGS COUNTY – A fraction slow to begin.
 
TOWER ROAD (NZ) – Began awkwardly and was slow to begin.
 
MARNDARRA – Slow into stride. Jockey Bonnie Thomson was reprimanded under AR132(7)(a)(ii) for applying the whip to her mount on 7 occasions (1st offence) prior to the 100m, 2 more than permitted.
 
Race 2: BILL REID RACING OPEN Handicap 1200 metres
 
 
KRAVITZ – Over raced early.
 
LAURIE – Blundered on jumping.
 
 
Race 3: PAVSCORP Class 1 Handicap 1200 metres
 
NERRINA LOLITA – Began awkwardly and bumped with IMAGINE THAT soon after the start.Raced wide throughout.
 
THUNDER KNOB – Raced wide throughout.
 
IMAGINE THAT – Bumped with NARRRINA LOLITA soon after the start.
 
UNDER PAR – Slow to begin.
 
HEROIC ANGEL – Slow to begin. Held up for clear running in the early part of the home straight. Jockey Chris Whiteley was reprimanded under AR132(7)(a)(ii) for applying the whip to his mount on 6 occasions (2nd offence) prior to the 100m, 1 more than permitted.
 
 
BOOMKO – Raced wide throughout. A post-race veterinary examination revealed lameness in the off foreleg. BOOMKO has been stood down from racing until receipt of a veterinary clearance.
 
MOTHERLODE – Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination behind the barriers and was cleared to start. Hung out throughout the run. A post-race veterinary examination revealed lameness in the near foreleg and as such the mare has been stood down pending receipt of a veterinary clearance.
 
 
Race 4: TAB Maiden Plate 1100 metres
 
GILBERT'S GOLD – Proved difficult to load and delayed the start. A warning was issued against the gelding’s barrier manners. Bumped at the start with BARRY’S GALAH. Raced greenly under pressure in the home straight.
 
GRAND CHIEF – Slow to begin.
 
ROYAL TONIC (NZ) – Fractious to load. Slow to begin. Raced greenly under pressure.
 
BARRY'S GALAH – Jumped inwards at the start bumping with GILBERT’S GOLD.
 
FALSETTO – Raced wide early.
 
INDIANA FALLS (NZ) – Slow to begin. Attempted to buck soon after the start and was retired from the event. Connections were advised that the mare has been stood down from racing until the completion of a satisfactory trial.
 
MISS RINEHART – Slow to begin.
 
TOMBOY'S SPIRIT – Began awkwardly. Hung in under pressure in the home straight.
 
 
Race 5: TONY MADDEN ARCHITECTS QTIS Three-Year-Old Maiden
Handicap 1300 metres
 
BEST BEE – Jockey Justin Stanleywas reprimanded under AR132(7)(a)(ii) for applying the whip to his mount on 6 occasions (2nd offence) prior to the 100m, 1 more than permitted.
 
QUEST OF QUESTS – Began awkwardly and bumped MISHANI MERLOT soon after the start. Jockey Adam Sewell was reprimanded under AR131(a) for carelessly shifting ground inwards near the 1050m mark causing MISHANI MERLOT to be tightened and steadied by its rider.
 
SIRENE – Rear at the start and was slow to begin.
 
MIA'S DREAM – Raced greenly under pressure in the home straight.
 
ROCK THE BOX – Jockey Nathan Day explained that he attributed the below expectation performance to the filly being obliged to race three wide throughout.
 
SUB ROSA – Began awkwardly and then over raced for a significant distance.
 
PHEEBLE'S SPIRIT – Slow to begin.
 
MISHANI MERLOT – Slow into stride. Bumped after the start by QUEST OF QUESTS. Tightened for room and eased near the 1050m.
 
 
 
Race 6: GREAT NORTHERN BENCHMARK 65 Handicap 1600 metres
 
COACH – Raced in tight confines for a distance early in the home straight.
 
ENUFF HE SAID – Jockey Justin Stanley advised that his mount travelled well until placed under pressure leaving the 800m. Mr Stanley then added that the gelding felt amiss and made abnormal respiratory noises and as a result he eased ENUFF HE SAID out of the race over the final 300m. A post-race veterinary examination of the gelding revealed a slower than normal recovery, however no other abnormalities were detected.
 
ART BY CONCORDE – Shifted out under pressure leaving the 100m, carrying HYPERION STAR out onto DELANEY’S GIRL which was impeded as a consequence.
 
DELANEY'S GIRL – Impeded for a short distance leaving the 100m. Apprentice Isabella Rabjones was fined $200 under AR132(7)(a)(ii) for using her whip on 9 occasions prior to the 100m, 4 more than permitted (1st offence).
 
HYPERION STAR (NZ) – Very slow to begin. Held up for a clear run for the majority of the home straight. Carried outwards leaving the 100m when obtaining a run to the outside of ART BY CONCORDE.
 
 
Race 7: SPARROWS CONSTRUCTION Class 4 Handicap1050 metres
 
ONCHAO – Began awkwardly.

I PROMISE YOU – Raced three wide early.
 
PARKBURN – Jockey Justin Stanley was at a loss to explain the below expected performance of his mount. A post-race veterinary examination of the gelding failed to reveal any abnormalities.
 
BIGGER THAN THORN – Slow to begin. Bumped after the start by JUNGLE BEAT. Hung out noticeably between the 800m and the 600m.
 
JUNGLE BEAT – Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination after becoming fractious in the barriers and momentarily getting a hind leg caught in the structure. Cleared to start. Began awkwardly and bumped with BIGGER THAN THORN.

NUKE – Held up for clear running until leaving the 400m.
 
SUNDARA – Slow to begin and then tightened for room soon after the start.

ADDRESS UNKNOWN – Began awkwardly.
 
COMMANDER'S WATCH – Slow to begin.
 
SHENANIGAN CITY – Very slow to begin.
 
 
Race 8: DICK SULLIVAN MEMORIAL RATINGS BAND 0 - 55 Handicap
1400 metres
 
NATIVE BEE – Slow to begin. Jockey Adam Sewell advised that he did not ride his mount out fully to the finish as he had placed the gelding under pressure by use of the whip and vigorous riding to no avail and he was of the view that his mount could not improve its position. The comments of the rider were noted as stewards could not be satisfied that the lack of vigour over the final stages had impacted the horses finishing position.
 
KASHKAR – Slow to begin.
 
LYNRIC LASS – Slow to begin. Raced wide early. Jockey Adam Spinks was fined $300 under AR132(7)(a)(ii) for applying the whip on 7 occasions prior to the 100m, 2 more than permitted (6th offence).
 
NO STRINGS – Raced wide throughout.
 
MISS JEDI – Began awkwardly.
