TRI NATIONS – Fractious in barrier. Reared and the start and lost significant ground. Inclined to lay in when placed under pressure in the home straight. AURON – Slow to begin. Laid in when placed under pressure in the home straight. Race 2: 2 BOYNE RIVER THOROUGHBREDS RATINGS BAND 0 - 55 Handicap 1050 metres RUTTO – At a point near the 150m, shifted in onto the heels of ROCKETING TO THE WIN and was forced to restrain. ASHERLA – Began awkwardly. Near the 150m was disappointed for run and forced to steady when BORNEES LAD shifted out and GABRIELLE shifted in. BORNEES LAD – Inclined to lay in during the early and middle stages. Shifted out under pressure in the home straight. Jockey C. McIver was reprimanded under AR132(7)(a)(ii) for his use of the whip 7 times prior to the 100m. SAW THAT COMING – Fractious in barrier. At a point near the 900m raced in restricted room an lost ground when ROCKETING TO THE WIN hung in despite the best efforts of its rider. GABRIELLE – Shifted in at the 150m bumping ASHERLA.
