Race 8 Trainer R Vale admitted a breach of AR206(2) in that he was late to notify that TRU BLU TANGO would be racing without a tongue tie and was fined $200. GENERAL Tasha Chambers was permitted to ride NAUGHTY POSSUM in race 5 one kilogram overweight. Race 1: TAB QTIS Two-Year-Old Handicap 1100 metres SHAMEDY – Bumped shortly after the start with OOVII. BOLD COMIC – Jumped inwards abruptly at the start and began awkwardly. Jockey R Wiggins reported that after beginning awkwardly his mount failed to travel during the run. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a minor abrasion to the off fore heel. OOVII – Bumped shortly after the start by SHAMEDY. MISTREY EMPEROR – Reared at the start and was then checked between runners immediately thereafter. Jockey W Satherley was fined $400 under AR132(7)(a)(ii) for applying the whip to his mount on 9 occasions prior to the 100m, 4 more than permitted. PARA PARK CHANCE – Jumped outwards at the start and began awkwardly. TAHKIAN BUBBLES – Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination due to being fractious in the float enroute to the course which revealed minor abrasions to the near hind leg and was cleared to start. Race 2: ROCKY TRI CODE MEETING 25TH JUNE BENCHMARK 70Handicap 1400 metres FIGHTING COMMANDO – Held up for clear running in the early part of the home straight. BONDURANT – Pulled hard during the early and middle stages when leading. BOLD HALO – Began awkwardly. BRAVE ENOUGH – Began awkwardly and as a result was slow to begin. Race 3: GREAT NORTHERN BENCHMARK 60 Handicap 1050 metres ORNATE – A fraction slow to begin. Laid in under pressure. Apprentice M Kennedy was fined $300 under AR132(7)(a)(ii) for applying the whip to her mount on 8 occasions prior to the 100m, 3 more than permitted. CINDERELLA MAN – Began awkwardly. Race 4: GOLD CLUB 4 FURLONG LUNCH 17TH JUNE Maiden Plate 1300 metres EMPEROR'S REWARD – Stood flat footed and was slow to begin. READY TO GROOVE – Inclined to lay in over the final 150m after shifting out across the heels of SEISME. APRIL LOVE – Raced keen during the early stages. SOPHIA'S READY – Slow to begin. Race 5: NEIL BAULCH MEMORIAL QTIS Three-Year-Old MaidenHandicap 1100 metres The start of this race was delayed due to multiple runners proving difficult to load. ASTRA WALLY – Jockey A Butler advised the gelding became extremely worked up pre-race and consequently failed to finish off as expected and therefore, he did not pressure his mount over the final 100m. The jockey then further added that the gelding would likely derive benefit from the experience. DOOTHAKARMICHAEL – Bumped shortly after the start by PATTI ‘N’ FAY. RED FLASH – Bumped shortly after the start by OUR GOLD CLAIM. SIRENE – Began awkward. Jockey J. Murphy was reprimanded under AR131(a) for careless riding in that near the 1000m he shifted inwards, briefly crowding ROCKY REBEL. Hung out and shifted out over the final 300m. OUR GOLD CLAIM – Bumped by RED FLASH shortly after the start. WHAKAMIHARO – Connections advised of the intention to ride the gelding with cover in a midfield position if possible. Bumped shortly after the start by NAUGHTY POSSUM and as a result settled further back than anticipated. GOLDIE'S POWER – Was re-saddled at the barriers. MIA'S DREAM – Hung in sharply near the 150m and brushed the running rail. PATTI 'N' FAY – Trainer G Taylor was fined $200 under AR202(2) for the late gear notification of earmuffs to be worn on his runner. The gear change was notified on course and via social media. Bumped shortly after the start by DOOTHAKARMICHAEL. ROCKY REBEL – Briefly crowded near the 1000m. Jockey C Whiteley advised that the filly raced greenly throughout. REBEL'S DAUGHTER – Eased off heels near the 1000m. NAUGHTY POSSUM – Bumped at the start by WHAKAMIHARO and was checked.
