RACE 1: MOUNTS MACHINERY MAIDEN PLATE 3-Y-O & Up. Set Weights 1000M
 
The start of this event was delayed due to Jockey J, Rudd being dislodged in the mounting yard, subsequently being passed fit to ride by the ambulance. Further to this incident, Jockey C. Bryen was dislodged from OTTIS on route to the barriers. A pre-race veterinary examination cleared the runnerto start. Further to these incidents, LA VOBLIN broke through the barriers and was shortly pulled up by its rider. A veterinary examination passed the runner fit to start.
 
JUDY BELLE Slow to begin
 
GOING BALLISTIC Dipped badly at the start and lost ground.
 
CAMDEN PRINCE Began awkwardly, jumping in and making contact with another runner to the outside.
 
AGUERO Raced wide throughout.
 
OTTIS Raced wide throughout.
 
 
RACE 2: RURAL INSURANCE SERVICES BENCHMARK 50 HANDICAP 1000M
 
The start of the race was delayed due to the clerk of the course being dislodged from his horse. After being assessed by the ambulance officers on course the clerk was stood down for the remainder of the day.
 
LOCKOUT Jumped out at the start making contact with another runner.
 
TRUST NO ONE Slow to begin.
 
BROWN CAVIAR Bumped by another runner shortly after the start.
 
 
RACE 3: WESTERN WHOLESALERS RATINGS BAND 0 - 60 HANDICAP 1200M
 
The declaration of correct weight was delayed to allow the rider of the second place getter, Jockey L. McCoy, to view the Photo Finish image. Although jockey McCoy was not satisfied with the process, the photo was recorded showing a clear mirror image. Stewards were not of the opinion they would change the judges placings, nor could they dispute the margins recorded by the photo. Stewards dismissed all concerns regarding the Photo Finish and subsequently declared correct weight.
 
ZAHA COUNTY Stewards inquired into Jockey J. Misses returning to scale 0.78 kilograms overweight. In the enquiry it was found that jockey missen weighed back in with his helmet and whip, failing to hand it to the clerk of scales. Stewards accepted Jockey Missenns explanation and took no further action.
 
HUSSONNS SHOUT Raced wide from the middle stages.
 
 
RACE 4: ROMA TYRE AND BATTERY OPEN HANDICAP 1200M
 
IBELEIVEICANFLY Raced wide through the middle stages.
 
KING OF THE FLAME Began awkwardly.
 
MISS DELIMA Began awkwardly shifting out.
 
HOT VINNI Began awkwardly, jumping in.
 
 
RACE 5: ROMA SPACE AND STORAGE BENCHMARK 70 HANDICAP 1640M
