RACE 6: OILCORP FUELS IMOBILE 1 BENCHMARK 60 HANDICAP 1640M

The decision to adjust the starting time on both occasions was made in consultation with the race cub president Mr R. Ferrier, the TAB, SKY Channel and Racing Queensland who were all made aware of prevailing weather conditions.

RHYME NOR RHYTHM – Overraced early and middle stages. Apprentice B. Nothdurft could offer no explanation for the seemingly disappointing performance other than the horse in his opinion failed to handle the sand track. He also added that on return to the enclosure the horse had its tongue over the bit.

CONGELATOR – Rider N. Evans accidently dropped his whip near the 150m.

Directly following correct weight a significant rain event occurred which immediately made the track unsuitable for racing. Stewards therefore abandoned the reminder of the meeting at 4:40pm.
