After taking evidence from all parties and viewing the patrol footage, bearing in mind the minor degree of interference suffered to GOLD CROWN, the proximity of the incident to the winning post, and the half-length margin between the runners at the conclusion of the event, Stewards could not be satisfied that a reversal of placings was warranted and therefore the protest was dismissed.
