RACE 1: DMAC EARTHMOVING/GJ GARDNER HOMES BENCHMARK 45 HACP 1000M-
 
RED GERANIUM- Began awkwardly losing ground.
 
GOOD LUCK CHARLIE- Began awkwardly making heavy contact with another runner. Raced wide without cover throughout.
 
MISTER JUDGE- Bumped heavily on jumping away.
 
CHOICE SON- Began awkwardly.
 
BRIDE THE WITNESS- Hampered at the start by another runner, and was then slow to muster early speed.
 
RACE 2: QUEENSLAND COUNTRY MEATS/WEST TECH SYSTEMS CLASS 3 PLATE 1000M-
 
No Racing incidents.
 
RACE 3: TAYLORS PARTS CENTRE/POLLOCK CONSTRUCTIONS BENCHMARK 55 HCAP 1200M-
 
MR OPURRTUNIST- Began awkwardly.
 
CLASSY HUSSY- Slow to begin.
 
STILL THE SAME- Raced wide without cover throughout.
 
SCRIVANO- Steadied when placed in restricted room over the concluding stages when ANOTHER WEAPON shifted in marginally. N Fazackerley the rider of ANOTHER WEAPON was advised to exercise more care.
 
STILL THE SAME- When questioned regarding the seemingly improved performance, Trainer B. Johnston advised that the gelding was first up from a spell going into today’s event and in his opinion, he expected the horse to improve after its form tapered off at the end of its last preparation. Stewards noted the explanation.
 
RACE 4: COMMONWEALTH HOTEL OPEN PLATE 1200M
 
BLUE JEST- Began awkwardly. Apprentice A. Thompson accidently dropped his whip at the 100m.
 
REPO ZEST- Raced wide during the early and middle stages.
 
OGGIE- Had difficulty obtaining clear running over the concluding stages of the event.
 
HOT VINNI- Slow into stride.
 
NUDE SECRETS- Reared at the start and lost ground.
 
RACE 5: HOME HARDWARE BENCHMARK 60 HCAP 1640M
 
BOLD TEMPTATION- Declared a late scratching at 12:05pm due to no rider being available.
 
JACARANDA PRINCE- Raced wide throughout. Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
 
TWO ARMOR- Laid out under pressure over the concluding stages.
 
SCAPA COVE- Raced wide throughout.
