Suttcliffe RACE 1: MOUNTS MACHINERY MAIDEN PLATE – 1000m NAVILLUIS STRYKER – Slow to begin. MISS SIDUAL – Over raced throughout the early and middle stages. RACE 2: RURAL INSURANCE SERVICES BENCHMARK 50 HANDICAP – 1000m WONDERFUL WALLY – Began awkwardly making contact with another runner to the outside. LA VOGLIA – Slow to begin. CHAMPAGNE WARRIOR – Slow into stride, Raced wide without cover throughout. Upon returning to scale Apprentice B. Mackie reported that in her opinion the gelding weakened from the 200m and as a result she was unable to place pressure on her mount for the remainder of the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings. RACE 3: WESTERN WHOLESALERS RATINGS BAND 0 - 60 HANDICAP – 1200m No Racing Incidents RACE 4: ROMA TYRE AND BATTERY OPEN HANDICAP – 1200m REPO ZEST – Declared a late scratching at 8:00am on veterinary advice. Trainer W. Baker was advised the gelding would require a veterinary certificate prior to its next start. I DO CARE – Slow to begin. NARANJA – Began awkwardly. RACE 5: ROMA SPACE AND STORAGE BENCHMARK 55 HANDICAP – 1640m The start time fo the event was amended to 3:55pm due to weather in the area. CANTON ROAD – Reared in the gates prior to the start. TWO ARMOR – Hung out rounding the first turn of the event. MOHAKA RIVER – was forced to ease at the 1400m when TWO ARMOUR shifted out. Apprentice S. Barlow was reminded of her obligations. STEWARDS RACEDAY SUMMARY – Actions Concerning Thoroughbreds Veterinary Certificates R4 – REPO ZEST – Vet Cert Required.
