QUEENSLAND RACING INTEGRITY COMMISSION STEWARDS REPORT.ROMA RACE CLUB 22 JUNE 2019. Weather- Fine Rail-True Track-Good 3 (sand) Officials-Chairman of Stewards- B. CookeStewards- R. Hitchener, D KerwickClerk of Scales- StewardsVeterinarian – Dr C. Knight Starter- T. Sheehan Judge- ClubBetting Steward- Stewards General Jockey S. Sweedman was fined $400 under AR 190 (3) for accepting three rides for which he was overweight. In determining penalty, Stewards took into consideration that another rider replaced Jockey Sweedman on two of the three rides. Replacements as per stewards summary. RACE 1: SANTOS CLASS 3 PLATE 1200M- ROSOVER – Raced three wide without cover throughout the early and middle stages.IMMUTABLE – Laid out for a short distance approaching the 700m.NOTHING TO DANCE – Raced four wide without cover throughout, STORM SYSTEM – Laid out at the 900m resulting in the gelding clipping the heels of another runner and blundering. RACE 2:THE SOUTHPORT SCHOOL OPEN 1200M- SPLITZ – Raced three wide without cover throughout. ARTIE’S SHORE – Began awkwardly and lost ground. BIG BRITCHES – Stood flatfooted and lost ground. Raced wide without cover throughout. Trainer C. Rogers was advised a warning would be placed on the runner. REPO ZEST – Trainer W. Baker was fined $100 under AR 65 for failing to present the Thoroughbred identification card. RACE 3: ST JOSEPH’S NUDGEE COLLEGE MAIDEN PLATE 1000M- INVINCIBLE KING – Raced ungenerously for a short distance approaching the 800m. DOUBLE JOHN – Began awkwardly. After obtaining a wide position, tailed off taking no competitive part in the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings. Trainer B. Waldron was advised the gelding would require a trial to the satisfaction of stewards prior to returning to race. IVANA RUNALOT – Stewards fined Trainer P. Webster $100 under AR 206(2) for the late addition of a tongue-tie to the filly’s gear. RACE 4: ROMA GAS SUPPLIES RUGBY SLIPPER QTIS 2YO HANDICAP 1000MHE’Z TITILLATING – Began awkwardly. TIN HARE – Raced ungenerously throughout the early and middle stages. ARNWOOD – Began awkwardly. RACE 5: ROMA VET CLINIC BENCHMARK 60 HANDICAP 1640M SOPUR WITH EASE – Slow to begin. INDELO – Raced keenly throughout the early and middle stages. POTEMKIN – Raced wide with cover throughout. GUD ONYA – Raced wide without cover throughout.
