Race 1: ROYAL ON 99 CLASS B HANDICAP – 1000m
 
BRIGHT COPPER – Began awkwardly
 
JENNIFER MAGIC – Began awkwardly. Raced ungenerously throughout the early and middle stages.
 
SUPER LEON – Tightened for room shortly after the start and lost ground.
 
BETTY IS READY – Brushed by another runner to the outside rounding the 600m. Laid out in the home straight tightening another runner to the outside. Jockey H. Richardson was advised to exercise more care in similar circumstances in the future.
 
EL DEMONIO – Placed in restricted room and lost ground at the 100m when another runner to the inside laid out,
 
GOLDEN STREET – Raced wide without cover throughout.
 
 
 
 
 
Race 2: XXXX DRY QTIS CLASS 5 PLATE – 900m
 
The start of this event was delayed to allow IL BANDITO to be resaddled.
 
The start of the event was further delayed when COMESIDICE proved difficult to load. Trainer N. King was advised that a warning would be placed on the gelding.
 
 
ROYAL EQUIANO – Fractious in barrier.
 
JEMADAR – Bumped heavily by another runner to the outside upon jumping and lost ground.
 
IL BANDITO – Began awkwardly making heavy contact with another runner to the inside.
 
SEVEN YEAR REWARD – Laid in under pressure throughout the early and middle stages.
 
COMESIDICE – Blundered upon jumping and lost ground.
 
Race 3: EXPLORERS INN MAIDEN PLATE – 1200m
 
ALL REIGN – Apprentice A. Bakos was reminded of her obligation to ride her mount out to the line with sufficient vigour.
 
RECUSE – Began awkwardly.
 
LADY BLACKWOOD – Began awkwardly.
 
BRAYD HEART – Blundered upon jumping and lost ground.
 
KENNIFF COUNTRY – Fractious in barrier.
 
WUNULLA LADY – Slow to begin. Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
 
THE LAST DRAGON - Difficult to load. Laid in under pressure in the home straight. Upon returning to scale, Apprentice K. Patch advised that in her opinion the gelding felt sore in its action throughout. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the horse to have sustained an injury to its mouth.
 
ENRAGED – Began awkwardly.
 
Race 4:IRON JACK RATINGS BAND 0 - 60 HANDICAP – 1200m
 
IRONORE GINA – Jumped in the air at the start. Suffered a catastrophic bleeding attack at the 600m dislodging its rider and as a result was subsequently euthanized by the on course veterinary surgeon. As a result of this incident, jockey B. Richardson was transported to hospital by the Queensland Ambulance Service. Jockey Richardson will require a medical certificate prior to returning to race riding. Riding replacements as per stewards summary.
 
ZILITOR – Improved onto heels at the 1000m and as a result was forced to restrain for a short distance.
 
AUTHADANE – Began awkwardly and lost ground.
 
SPLASHETTE – Forced to shift out abruptly at the 600m to avoid IRONORE GINA.
 
Following the event stewards inspected the course proper at the 600m and deemed it suitable for racing.
 
Race 5:SNAP FITNESS ROMA OPEN HANDICAP – 1200m  
 
The start of this race was delayed to allow a replacement ambulance to arrive on course. The amended start time was 2:50pm
 
FAB’S COWBOY – Fractious in barrier. At a point leaving the 1100m, was placed in restricted room, checked and lost ground when TROMMELSCHLAGEN shifted in. Jockey P. Randall (TROMMELSCHLAGEN) was found guilty of a charge of carless riding in that he permitted his mount to shift in when insufficiently clear. Jockey Randall’s licence to ride in races was suspended for a period of 8 days to commence midnight 20/6/2020 and to conclude midnight 28/6/2020. In determining penalty stewards took into consideration Jockey Randall’s good record.
 
QUICK KETCH – Began awkwardly making contact with another runner to the outside.
 
SILENT FLYER – Bumped by another runner upon jumping. Raced in restricted room for a short distance approaching the 100m.
 
TROMMELSCHLAGEN – Began awkwardly.
 
GENDEBIEN – Began awkwardly making contact with another runner to the outside.
 
HANOVER SQUARE – Bumped by another runner upon jumping.
 
Race 6:XXXX GOLD BENCHMARK 65 HANDICAP – 1640m
 
The start time of this event was amended to 3:20pm
 
NOTHING TO DANCE – Laid in under pressure throughout the middle stages.
 
ACHILLES PRIDE – Began awkwardly.
 
GUD ONYA – Began awkwardly.
 
GREAT SHINE - Began awkwardly.
 
PIRELLI – Raced wide without cover throughout the early and middle stages. Held up for clear running rounding the 600m and was again held up for clear running rounding the home turn.
