Race 1:BARRY RICHARDSON QTIS MAIDEN PLATE – 1000m
 
BRANLINA – Reared over in the mounting yard on two occasions dislodging its rider. Declared a late scratching by order of the stewards at 1:20pm. Stewards ordered that all monies invested in BRANLINA be refunded with the following deductions to apply:
 
2 cents in the dollar for the win - #6
6 cents in the dollar for the place of winner - #6
8 cents in the dollar for 2nd placegetter – #1
10 cents in the dollar for 3rd placegetter - #7
 
 
A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant abnormalities. Trainer R. Cloherty was advised the mare will require two consecutive trials to the satisfaction of the stewards prior to returning to racing.
 
BETAGETA MOVIIN – Slow to begin.
 
KENNIFF COUNTRY – Fractious in barriers. Began awkwardly.
 
NIKSICKO – Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
 
SERIOUSLY UNUSUAL – Slow into stride and lost ground. Raced wide without cover throughout.
 
Race 2:RONALD MCDONALD HOUSE CHARITY CLASS B HANDICAP – 1000m
 
FIORETICAL – Bumped by another runner to the outside on jumping.
 
JULIETTE STREET – Taken in by another runner to the outside on jumping and lost ground.
 
UNSURE – Began awkwardly making contact with another runner to the inside.
 
DIFFICULT – Raced keenly throughout the early and middle stages. A post-race veterinary examination reveled the filly to have bled from both nostrils. Trainer W. Baker was advised that DIFFICULT would be barred from racing for three months and must complete a 1000m gallop to the satisfaction of stewards prior to returning to racing.
 
Race 3:MCDELIVERY BENCHMARK 60 HANDICAP – 900m
 
CHEEKY MILA – Inclined to lay out in the early stages. At a point leaving the 600m, raced in restricted room and was taken in onto FOXY BELLA when ARARRAC shifted in marginally, resulting in FOXY BELLA being forced to check and lost ground. Apprentice D. McGillivray, the rider of ARARRAC was issued a severe reprimand under AR131(a).
 
VALFIERNO – Began awkwardly.
 
ELITE GRAY – Tightened for room at the start and lost ground.   
 
 
Race 4:MCDONALDS ROMA BENCHMARK 60 HANDICAP – 1640m
 
ORDELL – Began awkwardly.
 
DONE IT AGAIN – Began awkwardly. Over raced throughout the early and middle stages.
 
 
Race 5:MCCAFE CHRISTMAS CUP OPEN HANDICAP – 1200m
 
ENTERPRISE GRAND – Began awkwardly making contact with another runner to the outside.
 
V J DAY – Bumped by another runner on jumping.
 
No further racing incidents
 
Race 6: MACCS CHRISTMAS RACE BENCHMARK 55 HANDICAP – 1200m   
 
BOOM OR BUST – Began awkwardly.
 
AUTHADANE – Raced three wide without cover throughout the early and middle stages.
 
ALL TOO SWEET – Began awkwardly and lost ground.
