Race 1: MORGANS FINANCIAL QTIS Maiden Plate 1000m
 
GROOVY CAT – Buffered between runners shortly after the start and lost ground. Raced ungenerously from the 600m.
 
WEATHER MAN – Began awkwardly bumping another runner.
 
OSHUN – Bumped by another runner. Raced wide without cover throughout
 
MY BIG BROTHER – Bumped another runner shortly after the start.
 
SKY TOUCH – Began awkwardly.
 
EDDIGATO – Steadied to avoid the heels of CURUMBIN (Jockey J Rudd) leaving the 700m. Jockey J. Rudd (the rider of CURRUMBIN) plead guilty to a charge of careless riding under AR.131(a) in that at a point leaving the 700m, he permitted his mount to shift in when insufficiently clear EDDIGATO resulting in that runner being tightened for room, checked and lost ground. Jockey Rudd’s license to ride in races was suspended for a period of 8 days to commence midnight 5th April 2021 and to conclude midnight 13th April 2021. In determining penalty stewards took into consideration Jockey Rudd’s prior good record. Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
 
Race 2: STAHAM CHEESMAN Class B Handicap 1000m
 
USURP – Raced wide without cover throughout.
 
BUDDIE OLLIE – Slow into stride.
 
BOOM OR BUST – Raced wide with cover throughout.
 
HARD ENOUGH – Stewards Permitted Jockey P. Randall TO Ride 0.5kg overweight due to no other suitable rider being available.     
 
 
Race 3: HALL CHADWICK Benchmark 45 Handicap 1000m
 
OUR VERA – declared a late scratching at 12:50pm on veterinary advice. Trainer W. Baker was advised the mare would require a veterinary certificate prior to returning to racing.
 
ITSALLKAY – Stood flat footed and lost ground. Trainer R Connolly was advised that the gelding would be required to trial to the satisfactions of the stewards prior to next racing.
 
JENNIFER MAGIC – Began awkwardly.
 
ALL TOO SWEET – Inclined to lay in throughout.
 
GENERAL MO - Raced in restricted room leaving the 700m.
 
CATHVALANNA – At a point passing the 700m was placed in restricted room when runners either side shifted ground and as a result was forced to shift out to obtain clear running.
 
TAKEN A CHANCE - Shifted in near the 700m tightening another runner.
 
 IRISH SPIRIT - Shifted out near the 700m tightening another runner. 
 
 
Race 4: CLUB HOTEL Benchmark 55 Handicap 1200m
 
SHADOW VISION – After making contact with the enclosure gate the gelding underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was subsequently passed fit to start.
 
ACHILLES PRIDE – Underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained an injury to the off-hind tendon. Trainer J. Baker was advised the gelding would require a veterinary certificate prior to returning to racing. Mr Baker further advised his intention to retire the gelding following todays event.
 
LEICA SPECIAL – Stewards permitted Jockey Z White to ride 0.5kg overweight due to no other rider being available being available. Jockey Z White was subsequently issued a reprimand for accepting a ride which she was overweight. Fractious in the barriers.
 
HOCKED – Reared as the start was affected.
 
JUST FAVULOUS – Raced ungenerously in the early stages.
 
GENG – Buffered between runners near the 1100m.
 
 
Race 5: TOPEX LADIES BRACLET Open Handicap 1200m-
 
MAHRATTA – Knuckled on jumping. Brushed by another runner in the home straight.
 
ANCIENT - Inclined to hang out throughout.
 
TROMMELSCHLAGEN - Shifted out shortly after that start bumping another runner forcing them wider on the track.
 
ANCIENT ECHOES – Bumped by another runner and forced wider on the track shortly after the start.
 
GENDEBIEN – Slow to begin
