Trainer S Iverson was advised that a warning would be placed on the filly’s barrier manners.RUNARD REDNUT – Bumped with SCHNITZ CREEK soon after jumping.SCHNITZ CREEK – Began awkwardly bumping with RUNARD REDNUT soon after jumping.CRAIG AND HOFF – Inclined to lay in from the 600m onwards.TELL THE WORLD – Raced wide for the majority.Race 2: THE CHURCHIE BENCHMARK 45 Handicap 1000 metresBROKEN WINDOWS – Underwent a pre-race Veterinary examination and was cleared to start.YALANJI – Crowded soon after jumping losing ground. Raced wide rounding the home turn.FOX ON THE ROCKS – Raced wide for the majority. App O Webb advised that in her opinion, the mare had laboured over the concluding stages under today’s weight of 62kg and in the heavy going.SKALD – Resented the kickback. Underwent a post-race Veterinary examination which revealed no abnormalities. Jockey S Sweedman was reminded of his obligations under AR131(b) to ensure that he ride his mounts out to the end of the race.Race 3: ROMA GAS SUPPLIES RUGBY SLIPPER QTIS Two-Year-Old Handicap 1000 metresRace 3 was reprogrammed to the amended start time of 12:21pm.COUNTRY BOYZ – Proved difficult to load. Trainer C Smith was advised that a warning would be placed on the gelding’s barrier manners.CRAIGLEA AGENA – Slow into stride.DEB’S ELLIE – Began awkwardly and was bumped soon after jumping. Inclined to lay in passing the 600m. Shifted in when placed under pressure down the running having to be corrected.CRAIGLEA LAKI – Shifted out on jumping bumping with DEB’S ELLIE. Resented the kickback. Underwent a post-race Veterinary examination which revealed no abnormalities.PRINCESS MARIAN – App A Donald advised that the filly failed to respond to her riding and held felt awkward in its action on pulling up. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.Race 4: NOWAK FINANCIAL SERVICES Class 4 Handicap 1200 metresBLACK SEA – Fractious in the barrier. Raced wide for the majority.COAT OF ARMS – Shifted out on jumping carrying BLACK SEA wider.IMTWENTYFOURSEVEN – Was eased out of the race passing the 200m. App I Rabjones advised that she had felt something was amiss with the gelding and had elected to ease it out of the race. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have bled from both nostrils during the event. As this was the second bleeding episode, Trainer K Kemp was advised that the gelding would now incur a lifetime ban from racing within Australia under the provisions of AR79(6).Race 5: TOOWOOMBA GRAMMAR SCHOOL OPEN Handicap 1200 metresTYCOON ZIP – As Jockey S Sweedman was to be overweight, he was fined the sum of $200 under the provisions of AR190(3). Inclined to lay in down the running. Raced wide for the majority.PIRACY – Inclined to shift in under pressure down the running.TAPTHETILL – Raced wide for the majority.RADIPOLE (IRE) – Jockey J Rudd advised that the gelding had never travelled comfortably on today’s track conditions.Race 6: THE SOUTHPORT SCHOOL BENCHMARK 60 Handicap 1640 metresSALAZAR – Slowly away.THE CARPENTER – Shifted out abruptly on jumping.BRAVE NICK – Shifted in on jumping bumping with JOCHBERG. Tired noticeably over the concluding stages. Underwent a post-race Veterinary examination which revealed no abnormalities.JOCHBERG – Bumped by BRAVE NICK soon after jumping. Commenced to shift out when placed under pressure down the running.THE KROC – Began to lose touch with the remainder of the field near the 700m tiring noticeably from then on. Jockey S McGovern advised that the gelding had failed to respond to his riding.
