Race 3: MCDONALDS MCDELIVERY CLASS B Handicap 1200 metres Correct weight was delayed allowing stewards the opportunity to view the available replays of the start after some riders expressed concerns. After interviewing all riders, the starter and viewing the replays it was established that CUBIC had turned its head in the barriers resulting in rider Brooke Richardson only having hold of one rein when attempting to correct her mount when the start was affected, and as a result was denied a fair start. Stewards could not be satisfied that any other runner had been denied a fair start and correct weight was given. Betting deductions for the late scratching of CUBIC were ordered as follows; win bets paid less 31 cents and place bets paid less 21 cents in the face value of the ticket. A post-race veterinary examination of VAHASH failed to reveal ant abnormalities. PHYLAVE – Raced wide throughout. ITSALLKAY – Slow to begin.
