Steward- T PulsfordVeterinarian –Dr S MearnSwab Official- Dr H GarteryStarter – E BrassingtonPhoto finish Operator- N EvansGENERALNilRace 1: LSA DEMOLITION CLASS B HANDICAP 1000MCLUB ROLLER- Bumped by OUR WINTER GIRL shortly after the start.FAMUS FELLA- Stewards acting under the provision of LR67 fined Trainer Mr Craig Smith the sum of $100 for his late declaration of a rider. Laid in for some distance in the home straight before being corrected by the rider.MR DEMOLITION- Bumped with LE KITA at the start.OUR WINTER GIRL-Began awkwardly and bumped CLUB ROLLER after the start.PARA PARK MAKEUP- Slow to begin. Raced at the rear of the field and wide for the majority despite the riders best efforts to improve into the race early. Ran on well over the final stages of the event.LE KITA- Bumped with MR DEMOLITION at the start.CHAYSE’N’MENARI- Laid in for some distance in the early stages before being corrected by the rider.Race 2: RAYHAM ENGINEERING OPEN HANDICAP 1000MDYNAMIC VERSE- Began awkwardly then raced wide for the majority of the event.Raced wide in the home straight and ran on strongly over the final stages of the event.HIGH COST-Jumped out shortly after the start resulting in the runner to the outside being dictated out bumping SHOTGUN SONNY. Was corrected by the rider approaching the 950m when tended to roll in momentarily for a short distance and inconvenienced SHOTGUN SONNY momentarily.SHOTGUN SONNY-Began awkwardly with its head in the air and then tightened for room and lost ground when ROOT’S ’N’ ROCKS shifted out shortly after the start. Approaching the 950m after electing to redirect the gelding to the inside was momentarily inconvenienced when HIGH COST shifted in for a short distance.ROOTS “N” ROCKS- Began awkwardly then shifted out shortly after the start inconveniencing another runner.Race 3: SANTOS BENCHMARK 60 HANDICAP 1200MMUIRON- Slow to begin. Raced at the rear of the field for the majority of the event.TANGO TINO- Slow to begin.VINAIGRETTE- Bumped by another runner after the start.BIONIC- Raced wide for the majority of the event.REAL HUSSEY- Began awkwardly and raced at the rear of the field during the early stages of the event. Began to improved into the race from the 300m point and ran on strongly in the home turn.KAZZA’S JET- Began awkwardly and bumped VINAIGRETTE shortly after the start.The declaration of correct weight was delayed to allow the rider of the 4th placed horse Jky B Newport an opportunity to view the photo finish image available. After viewing the photo Jky Newport was satisfied with the Judges placings and Stewards then declared correct weight on the numbers as semaphored by the Judge.Race 4: ROMA SANDS MAIDEN PLATE 1200MBINDANGO- Bumped at the start by THE UPRISING. Lost the near side winker in the back straight.READY MADE- Raced mid field for the majority but when urged by the rider to improve into the race had nothing left and weakened from the 300m point. Due to the below marker performance of the horse stewards ordered a post- race veterinary examination be undertaken. This examination revealed No abnormalities being detected.THE UPRISING- Began awkwardly and bumped the runner to the outside on jumping. Raced wide for the majority of the event. BRING THE ROMANCE- Slow to begin then raced at the rear of the field and wide for the majority of the event and failed to respond and improve despite the efforts of the rider.PICCOLO- Raced at the rear of the field for some distance then raced wide prior to the home turn for the majority of the event when running on well over the final stages.Race 5: SUMMIT OPEN HANDICAP 1640MTYCOON ZIP- Raced at the rear of the field for the majority of the event despite the efforts of the rider to improve into the race. Due to the seemingly disappointing performance of the gelding a post-race veterinary examination was undertaken this examination revealed no abnormalities being detected. Stewards sought a comment from Appr Jky S McCann regarding the performance as disappointing she advised the horse may not have been suited by the distance and the track surface with the kickback today. Stewards noted her comments.UNRESTRICTED- Over raced in the early stages of the event then settled in a leading position for the majority of the event.SALAZAR- Raced wide for the majority of the event.MT MORT SHARK- Raced towards the rear of the field for the majority.Race 6: CRAWFO’S QTIS BENCHMARK 65 HANDICAP 1640MJAKKALBERRY FINN- Was slow to begin and tightened between runners shortly after the start. Raced at the rear of the field during the majority of the event. Improved into the race from the 400m point and ran on well over the final stages.LAURIE- Began awkwardly when it jumped in at the start then leaving the 1600m point appeared to have baulked with the rider having to check at ITALLIKAY which appeared to be over racing. LAURIE then began to over race at that point proving difficult for the rider to restrain. Was again inconvenienced approaching the 1300m point when OUR SPIDER was dictated outward by LASCO as a result of that horse racing erratically. Raced wide for the majority of the event.IMPACTFUL-Bumped by another runner at the start.OUR SPIDER- Jumped out at the start. Approaching the 1300m was inconvenienced by another runner. The rider in an effort to restrain did roll out inconveniencing LAURIE momentarily.PHYLAVE- Began awkwardly and made contact with the barrier partition on the outside on jumping and then bumped IMPACTFUL after the start. . Approaching the 1600m point shifted in in an effort to improve resulted in inconveniencing ITSALLKAY with the rider having to check her mount and redirect her mount outwards. Stewards inquired into the incident after hearing evidence and viewing the surveillance film available to them acting under the provision of AR131(a) Reprimanded Appr Jky E Pomfrett as a result of shifting in when insufficiently clear of ITSALLKAY.LASCO- APPR J GOLDEN- Fractious in the barriers prior to the start. Began awkwardly over raced during the early stages of the event. Leaving the 1300m point began to over race when crowded for room and in an effort to avoid the kickback, then it shifted about over racing despite the efforts best efforts to regain control. This incident resulted in OUR SPIDER being inconvenienced and LAURIE also being inconvenienced with the riders having to check their respective mounts and losing some momentum. Stewards inquired into the incident and after taking evidence from all parties and viewing the surveillance film available to them were of the opinion that the rider of LASCO did all he could in an effort to ease the pressure to the horses to his outside and gain some control. After the incident it then raced at the rear of the field for the remainder effectively playing no further part in the race. A post-race Veterinary examination was undertaken with no abnormalities being detected. Stewards later after hearing submissions from Trainer Mr W Pugsley acting under the provision of AR 75(1) advised him that a Warning would be placed on the horse for its racing manners today.ITSALLIKAY- APPR S ROBBINS- Slow in beginning. When approaching the 1600m point was inconvenienced by PHYLAVE which shifted ground in an attempt to improve. As a result the gelding was inconvenienced with the rider having to check and redirect the mount outwards. As a result of this redirection LAURIE baulked with rider Appr Jky S McCann having to take hold. Stewards questioned Appr Jky S Robbins and Trainer C Baker regarding the riding tactics used today. Ms Baker advised her instructions were to jump out and let him roll in front. Appr Jky Robbins stated that he wasn’t suited by the kickback early and as he was pulling abit she then elected to go to the forward as a result from the 1200m point was unable to restrain him. He began to weaken out to the race from the 600m point. Ms Baker advised Stewards that she was happy with the ride today. Stewards noted the respective parties’ comments. Stewards advised Trainer Ms C Baker that acting under the provision of AR 75(1) a Warning would be placed on the horse for its racing manners today. A delay in the declaration of correct weight was afforded to allow the rider of the 2nd place horse Appr Jky S McCann and Trainer M Kropp an opportunity to view the surveillance film available in view of lodging an objection to OUR SPIDER being declared the winner.
