Post race vet examination found the gelding to the lame in the nearfore leg. Trainer R Tyrell was advised that a vet certificate would be required prior to racing again.Xuannu – Raced wide throughout. Trainer A Plumb was fined the sum of $200 under the provisions of LR67 for failing to declare a rider by the prescribed time.Race 7: TAB VENUE MODE Class 1 Handicap 1600 metresPrior to the declaration of correct weight a protest was lodged by L Dittman the rider of the second horse EDMONTON alleging interference by the winner ECCENTRIC over the concluding stages. After taking evidence from the relevant parties, stewards upheld the objection as they were satisfied that ECCENTRIC had shifted out under pressure and initiated heavy contact with EDMONTON causing that horse to become unbalanced at a point near the 50m and furthermore that the interference suffered was sufficient to reverse the placings given the official short half head margin between these two runners.Yulong Status – Shifted out near the 200m in order to secure clear running and in doing so bumped with I AM SUPERIOR.Edmonton – Bumped and became unbalanced near the 50m.I Am Superior – Raced wide throughout. Bumped and forced wider near the 200m.
